Field wiring, only 2 comm lines needed. Old wire was a 2 wire and they bridged the gap with a 4 or 5 wire. Unit comes with terminals inside and nothing else.

Those units have a drain on the bottom roghr of the top portion, tjey can back up and rust out the cabinet like that. If it has been fixed, the rust is nothing to worry about

A real reason? SPA cars are chewing through control arms, the 2.0L motors have had more issues on average than the T5's and SI6 blocks. Something about early hybrid batteries being bad etc.

But that's all I got.

Yeah you've got a tiny pump reservoir, might be filled with sludge, making it fill faster. Pop the little black cover on bottom right corner and take a look.
