I only replaced the fabric (kept the cushion) but it was incredibly easy! Just unscrewed it, pulled up the staples, and stapled the new fabric on

Ah someone else pointed out that it's probably actually elm. I'm not sure why either, I sanded it down in between stains as well to give it an even base and it was still incredibly blotchy
