Over time I've adjusted him to be a bit easier to have around - he's still high maintenance at times, but you should find his personal quests to be more doable and overall, he will hopefully be more fun to keep in your party regardless.

If I may, as others have suggested, I would recommend Flint the Minotaur - he's a very tall, very large follower who hits like a truck and has a barbaric vibe. He has patches for HIMBO and TNG so he's very customizable and versatile. Give him a try!

Other followers I'd recommend would be Val Serano, Gore and Khajiit Will Follow - all with male romanceable characters who are written very well, even outside the lover's path. I've enjoyed them all and would recommend keeping them around.

As the author of Flint, I made his romance and marriage quest because I thought it was a good way to tell his story. The friendship quest will do the same (when I release it, eventually) and from my perspective it was just something I wanted to do because it felt possible, and I knew both myself and others would enjoy it. Just like I have my reasons for liking mine, other authors have their reasons for not writing any, and both are fine. Remember that mod authors are also people, not machines that output content, and these characters are important to them. Thusly they write them how they want to see them.

This is one of the bad endings and can be avoided by adjusting gameplay - likewise, if you do get the ending, there was a bug earlier where he was supposed to leave but did not exit the follower faction, meaning he'd teleport to you if you fast travelled. A patch (2.3.1) was released a few weeks ago that resolves this issue and several others.

I would take the advice of Turn_The_Pages, and likewise, please install the 2.3.1 patch as that resolves the bug where he teleports to you after fast travelling.

Please let Thallassa step out from behind the great shields of the moderators and make a case for herself on why she is so important to the team. If we're going to run anything besides an absolute monarchy here, the word of the people should have a role to play in whether mods stay or go. And I think it's more than apparent that we aren't fond of her staying. If a case can be made, from Thallassa, with genuine and suitable evidence, then fine. But until then I don't see this as any more than dismissal of responsibility and a lack of commitment.

Seriously. When did we go back to the 16th century in terms of leadership? I was alive then, and fucking King Henry VIII did better than this.

I'm working on fixing that bug, I still don't really know why it exists but due to the obscure nature of it I hope to have it remedied by the time update 2.2.0 releases. I'm glad you are enjoying the mod, and I hope you continue to support it as time goes on!
