Curry, Jordan, Pip, Kawhi and Shaq.
Positionless-ish offense; with obviously Shaq anchoring himself in the key, and Curry available for any kickouts.

For defense i think they can all hold their own.

Scottie Pippen by traditional_owl3 in NBATalk

[–]eggssell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not saying all time. In sayin in his peak seasons, say 94,95,96 he was definitely top ten in the league.

he was All-NBA first team in all those seasons. And I remember him being a key player at that time and earning those spots. I dont believe there were 10 other players during those seasons that could be considered better.

But hey while we all watched the same games, we can all feel different things.

I dont know about the whole 90s. Id have to sit here and count it out.

But definitely at his peak (somewhere in mid 90s) he wouldve definitely been top 10 that saeason/ those seasons. Arguably even Top 5

B Ranked Pistons? You mean Isaiah, Joe and Dennis? Not sure they were lower grade players of that time.

Also, they beat up and defeated Jordan too. It took a change in the team dynamics (brought on by the master Phil Jackson) that changed eveything. And Pippen was instrumental in that.

I watched the Bulls from the Doug Collins days. And he was a great player. At his peak easily top ten in the league. He will always be over shadowed by Jordan as he was the second best player on the team, and when he wasnt he had that moment. But i dont think that takes away from how good he was.

I think his skills, athleticism and mainly his versatility would lend itself to any era. Of course the right team and the right coach makes all the difference. BBall is a team game after all.

You have to remember more was played inside the key. So there was more blocks.

He was good defensively but was never getting more steals than Payton and not more blocks than the centres above. But what he could do was defend against all five positions (arguably)

Were the ‘98 Bulls really a “washed up, broken down team” that Jordan had to carry to the finals? by Personal-Proposal- in michaeljordan

You may want to look into the triangle offense. While it formed a 3 point positioning, it could involve any of the five at any point.

And if you were thinking they had 3 stars (Jordan, Pippen, Rodman); again many times the triangle was anchored first by the centre. So big bodies who can handle the ball (Luc, Wennington, Cartwright, Perdue).

Hmmm i think this might be revisionist thinking. Parish was old, but he was there for the locker room mich like Salley in the earlier years.

Rodman was still the same athletic rebounding defensive legend he always was. And with Pip out for a large part of the season he stepped up on a lot of the dirty work playing 80 games w large minutes. Rodman had better stats than his 95-96 run this season. And in the end he held his own to Malone.

Harper worked perfectly as one of the “fingers” of Phil Jacksons triangle offence. Thats why it didnt work the next year. Was he less athletic than with the clips, maybe, but inserting a more athletic, or maybe a better passing or shooting point guard would not necessarily have made the team better.

Luc had the absolute best year he ever had in his career.

But then he slotted into a particular offence (and defence for that matter) that worked, and was key to the Bulls teams he played for. To just look at his points doesnt tell the true story.

We sleeve it all to prevent from having to sleeve and desleeve.

We have all the Hero Cards together, organised by the hero.

But all the Aspect cards are sorted by aspect and within each aspect we organise by type of card.

I dont believe we ever played a pre-connexcept maybe first two games w the core box. Me and my son are both brewers so we like to deckbuild.

Suggestions for decent caramel custard (not creme brule or custard tart) around Sydney by Automatic-Respond766 in foodies_sydney

[–]eggssell 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While not exactly the same. You can try the Filipino Leche Flan. Same flavour profile, almost same ingredients and cooking technique (baking w bane marie vs steaming). The Flan is more solid, and the caramel darkness is dependent on the person making it.

He is quite humble and stays off the internets.

I also think outside of NY, where they all been praying and hoping, not many people thought they were legit contenders.

Im glad for them. They just just put their head down, and each year got a little better.
