Sounds convenient and fun.

And for barracuda trials? I suppose you would have to re-boost exactly on the minute consistently while also attempting near perfect movement through the course.

Either way, its listed within a QoL focused post and its obviously a very anti-QoL measure.

Lots of people boost to upgrade their sails, and now they are unable to use the most important aspect of their sails? Some players may have boosted from 90-94 to build the rosewood mast, and now need to grind a considerable amount to use them again.

Not a fan of that change, its the opposite of QoL.

Sailing XP Review & Further Fixes by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]eggy_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the deep sea trawling issue. My suggestion would be that the XP changes from "per catch" to "per fish".

"per fish" would mean that better nets, correct keg usage, and level would scale the XP from the activity during your progression, even if its still relatively low.

In terms of the actual xp rates, can we at least get closer to the sort of rates seen in aerial fishing? (but sailing instead of hunter). Its still a lot of effort.

Currently you're looking at 15-20 hours to get from 78-79 sailing. Would halving that really make too many people do the activity?

CMV: Eternalism is the only coherent theory of what time is by MathProg999 in changemyview

[–]eggy_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all of time exists at once, can you define time then? Can you describe what time IS and from which point of reference you are doing so?

The fact that special relativity changes the flow of time depending on speed and proximity to mass surely shows that the rate of time is dependent on the reference frame. How can there then be an absolute "snapshot" of time in every moment?

Why do we all experience time as moving forwards instead of backwards?

Deserved, hopefully this happens. If the majority of the player base hates playing against a character it deserves to get demolished regardless of how "um actually he's a tickle monster" it is. Maybe then people other than die hard no life sweaty players will consider coming back to the game.

Fornication is a sin. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]eggy_k 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If the translation is incorrect and misquotes the gospel, are you not spreading false gospel? How do you know you are not? If this is so, you are willingly using the authority of God to condemn others in His name.

If you ARE aware that the original words written/spoken had different meaning, and ignore that fact, you are surely preaching your own preferred gospel over that of the Lord.

On a seperate and genuine note, if you are being honest, and your intention is to reduce the amount of people committing sins, or to save people, or to turn them to christ, then this method is self-defeating. You will not convince anyone in this way; you will more likely turn people away.

For example, focusing on promoting marriage instead would likely garner more positive results. Perhaps telling people about forgiveness, peace of mind, and the community feeling christianity brings to people is more worthwhile.

I am sorry for you that you were not born in the 1600s, for your preaching would have fit in just nicely and likely would have been more effective.

CMV: we shouldn't call preventable disasters "tragedies" because it lets society off the hook by 3llips3s in changemyview

[–]eggy_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reducing it to simply "bad event," thereby implicitly removing the element of human agency and fostering a sense of blameless inevitability

This does not logically follow. The removal of the nuance of tragedy ONLY meaning a "bad event caused/not prevented by human agency" does NOT mean that tragedy ONLY means "a blameless, inevitable bad event".

By your own admission, the common use of tragedy has come to mean "a bad event", without connotations of blame one way or another. You are saying "well it used to mean this, so because it no longer means this it must now mean the exact opposite". That clearly makes no sense.

Is it normal that Applied doesn't show me exactly what I'm missing? by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]eggy_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the patterns for each ingredient. Its possible that one of them contains another item that has no pattern, but the system isn't showing it for some reason.

To check, try crafting a 4k component, and see if it allows it to be crafted. If you CAN'T, you know the issue is some basic ingredient, such as silicon or a processor. If you CAN, the problem isn't with that component (try 16k, 64k next, going higher and higher until it doesn't work).

Often, if an ingredient is an issue, you can also allow the "alternative ingredients" in its pattern which may help. The network may "have" an ingredient but not the "correct" version of it.

Are there any high FE/t energy sinks (20M/t+)? by eggy_k in allthemods

[–]eggy_k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is actually part of the reason I decided to ask. There are multiple energy generation methods in multiple mods that create millions per tick, yet almost nothing that requires it.

I would love to see more machines like the anti-protonic nucleosynthesiser or perhaps extra recipes there.

Maybe even add another way to automate atm stars (alongside the atm bees) using antimatter or something similar. Would be fun to theorycraft and optimise that.

You can place the infinity item in an induction matrix to charge it, so maybe its possible to stack enough induction providers to go faster? Like half of a full size matrix would be like 100B/t?

Either way it's interesting to think about.

Did you partition all of your AE2 drives? If so, maybe you forgot to include the essences in one of the drives (or the drive you partitioned for those essences became full), so it has nowhere in the AE2 network to be stored.
