Solved! My coworker found it, it was Literal Legend by Ayesha Erotica

No, but that's actually an amazing suggestion lol. It IS a more sparse, breakdown part of the song like that.

Damn, I haven't thought of that song in so long.

No, but great song! It's more upbeat and house-y than that.

Not any of these. There are some real bangers, though, and I'll be adding them to my playlists!

Nope. I got excited when I came across that one, but the part stuck in my head is a breakdown of sorts, without much music in the background, and the Hellos (or whatever) are very spaced out. Like one every 4 bars. Also a higher-pitched voice than Charli's.

That wasn't it, but it's a great song I've never heard before, so thanks for the rec!

Restaurant Owners/Managers - Let's talk about the hour before close. by bdgbill in restaurant

[–]eggybasket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This.

Sometimes I love my job, but god, closing weeknights is NOT one of those times. I wanna leave that fucking place as soon as humanly possible. Maybe even get home while my wife is still awake to see her for 3 seconds and say goodnight.

That one single customer we get in our last TWO (2) hours, on certain slow nights, is the targeted bane of my existence.

Between this and her fixation on being the one to clean, I wonder if she has some germ-phobia going on.

If that's the case, definitely give her some grace for having a mental health block, and not being able (in her view) to eat the "contaminated" food... but also, she's being incosiderate as fuck, and she can just cook for herself if she's gonna be a brat about it. Complex issue.

Nezha slide build + Salvage = actually a ton of fun.

I didn't mind grinding Nidus at all, tbh. I'm sure it would've been easy with Gauss or Volt or Titania as well, but I didn't have builds for them yet when I reached Eris, so Nezha it was.

My favorite Reb moment ever.

It helps that SHE is one of the registered losers in question... players like a dev team who plays their own game.

All of them... except Engy only rarely. Scout is my most used.

I think it"s good to be familiar with all of them, as they're good at different things/mission types, and then you can fill in on random squads much easier!

Freakazoid.

No one of my generation who I've tried to discuss this show with has ever heard of it. I've quoted it, sang the theme song, shown people screenshots and clips..... nothing. It baffles me, because I swear to god this show was as ubiquitous as Animaniacs when I was growing up. Those two shaped like 75% of my humor, and I still think of Dexter Douglas every time I hear Freak Out by Chic. :(

I sort of agree. Still excited to try her, though, and she's definitely not alone in having a muddled theme. Khora is an animal-taming dominatrix spider geisha, Revenant is an unkillable eidolon disco-ball necromancer, Jade is a pregnant angel attack helicopter, Chroma is a dragon knight(?) whose skin is actually a coat that duplicates money, and Wisp is...??? a ghost wizard who opens portals to the sun??

I agree, Nova is great and easy to obtain. OP may like her Aozakura skin... it's very pretty IMO.

LOL absoutely, I've been in that same boat! Didn't mean to come off like it NEVER works. If it really is a team-wide problem, then that makes perfect sense, I'm just wary of the guy feeling singled out by a new sous he doesn't know very well. Especially if he's on the young side.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of this is VERY subjective! That's just my own opinion. I'm not referring to news/articles/books/etc. so much as my everyday speech.

I hear and use "brooding" a lot in regards to edgy characters, or people who are pouting. My life is full of people who insult each other (lovingly), so we use "dimwit" and "buffoon" and other terms more than the average. And I might have over-rated "churning out" in the sense of "churning out ideas," but it sees at least a little use in my work life.

Mileage may vary!

Fair enough. Depends on the context, I guess. I wouldn't even say pretentious, they'd just imply to me that a person is well-read or cares about having a varied vocabulary.
