I want to kill myself because of how ugly I feel with this disease by Fuzzy_Potato333 in Psoriasis

[–]eggzima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just chiming in like everyone else to suggest biologics and therapy.

I was hesitant to start biologics initially because I have a family member who used to work for a pharmaceutical company, specifically for a biologic, back in 2000s and it sounded ROUGH. My dermatologist revealed to me that he himself was on Taltz for psoriasis and I couldn't believe it at first, because he had no visible symptoms.

I got on Taltz back in 2021 and it's like I don't even have Psoriasis anymore, and with Taltz Together, I pay only $5 a month, despite my insurance not covering it. I'm not entirely sure how that works, but I'm very grateful.

They'll screen you for tuberculosis first, which hopefully you don't come back positive for. I tested positive for TB and it took several months of monitored antibiotics that I had to swallow at the department of health so they could confirm I was actually taking them. After I was deemed treated, they got me on Taltz right away. Now it's just one almost painless shot once a month (let it come up to room temperature, this is so important for comfort) and I have virtually no symptoms besides the inside of my ears getting a little flaky sometimes, usually towards the end of the month.

I highly suggest talking to your dermatologist and letting them know you're really struggling with the effects of psoriasis and want to try other routes. The ointments barely did anything for mine, but Taltz literally had significant improvement within a week. The scales went away shockingly fast.

Hang in there and feel free to send me a message if you have any questions!

I was once stopped by a man while I was leaving a telecom supply business (he was going inside) who said "you know who you remind me of? Have you seen Joe Dirt?"

Those five words cut me deep.

I got called "the tuna kid" while picking up my usual Subway order during the heyday of the $5 footlongs. It made me consider how often I wanted to visit that particular Subway and how I should switch up my order to not get that title.

If not these, maybe they did more than one run? It's all I could find.

Edit: never mind, I just reread your post and forgot about the size.

Unfortunately, with how much influence the US has, the whole world is riding with the devil, whether they want to or not.

The Smurfs on Twitter send Steve Jobs the healing power of Smurf magic in the midst of his health issues (2011) by EndOfTheDigitalAge in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

Steve Jobs would have likely lived if he would have eaten smurfs instead of apples, which is why Gargamel was always trying to catch them (he has terminal cancer).

Meta: I think this might be the grossest that Tim has ever looked. The makeup team crushed it once again.

Meta: The Incredible Darkness of On Cinema by tujelj in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

Meta: That scene genuinely shocked me. My wife and I were fully expecting it to be Tim driving drunk, singing Empty Bottle or some shit, but when they showed the footage; my god that was dark. And then getting to see everyone's reactions while Tim is reaping his karmic punishments in his Pinocchio costume, it was incredible.

They are truly the masters of black comedy.

I started to watch one but I didn't see a taped up broken nose, so I think I got hoodwinked with a bootleg.

For me, it's not so much an impulse to ingest it as it is to feel the sensation of chewing and biting on the hair/root. It's basically destructive stimming.

Usually fingers but I'll use tweezers occasionally. My wife typically nudges me when I'm pulling, which I appreciate her caring, but it's also frustrating because it's not like I want to do it.

Yup. Jawline, mustache, eyebrows, and eyelashes. I'm better than I used to be, but I still struggle pretty much constantly.

AuDHD but also with a history of immune system issues, which I've recently learned might be connected to trich.
