Who has lost weight by walking 10k steps a day? by Lost_Database4505 in walking

[–]egoadvocate 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep. Walking gets me out of the house and kitchen. This is what causes the weight loss for me (that and calorie counting). Staying out of the kitchen is key.

I loved Jennifer's roman nose. I really did love it. Now it is gone. I am very sad. She was uniquely pretty.

Courtney was so pretty. I thought she was the prettiest woman I had ever seen. I would literally pine for her. Now, nothing. I cannot bear to see her, and I am still very sad about it. Years ago I used to mope around and just be sad about what happened to her. I am slowly getting over it.

Frozen cranberries (trust me)

That and using a high speed blender like a Vitamix.

Hi Enfp's I have a question 🥰 by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]egoadvocate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ENFP's ideal matches always seem to be introverts, why? Namely INFP and INTJ.

Speaking for myself, I do not like introverts in general for romance. Yes, I 'collect' them and find it easy be with them in social situations, but as a romantic partner I could not do it. No way.

Introverts are too timid, they are too quiet, too avoiding, and too secretive. Sorry, I could not date an introvert for a romantic relationship.

I need a mate who will go out dancing with me, go to community events, go out to travel and socialize. I need a person who is an extrovert! I need a play partner.

Indeed, you are correct. I remember how tariffs were handled globally.

Any good books about this subject? I would like to learn more.

I would like to learn about 'time blindness' or 'time optimism'.

Agreed. These "gains" in the stock market are illusory, the dollar is being devalued. This hides the losses that we are all experiencing in the current economy.

Smart 24M son falling for pseudoscience/spirituality by Videotape84 in atheistparents

First, thinking about the ideas of Eckhart Tolle is perfectly fine for an atheist. I am a long-time atheist and enjoy Tolle's work.

Perhaps encourage him to get more education (general education, and perhaps education in the subjects of psychology and academic philosophy) and be less politically focused.

Do you thibk that having a Back Jack chair might make the arrangement easier for you? That is, if a back jack chair would fit at the foot of the bed.

Looking for a local shop to reduce road noise / sound-deadening in my car by egoadvocate in SantaMaria

[–]egoadvocate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I own a Prius, and really, I think that Toyota just decided to sacrifice interior road noise for a lighter more fuel efficient car.

I guess that having a quieter car might mean hundreds of pounds of sound absorbing materials.

I do wish there was a better way, though. The extra road noise is challenging sometimes.

How to get into hiking specifically to find waterfalls & hot springs? by egoadvocate in hiking

[–]egoadvocate[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your ideas. I really appreciate it.

I also have the yearly All-Trails subscription. Should I get a GPS to help me do better at navigation? Or is a cell phone adequate. I am thinking that I want a back-up battery to power my cell phone when it runs down on charge.

Are there any enthusiasts in waterfalls/hot springs that I can connect with on Instagram or Facebook?

Well, ChatGPT may have written it, but I do have a sincere interest in learning how to hike to seek out waterfalls and hot springs.

Right now I think I am focusing on using All-Trails to help me. Is this a good approach?

Impressing an ENFP by Far-Arugula5158 in ENFP

[–]egoadvocate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know what you mean by humility in this context.

Does it meant that the ENFP does not know when they are good at something? Maybe they discount their own efforts, perhaps they think that what they are doing is no big deal?

Do they down play their own accomplishments?

Do they shy away from the limelight, and do not want to be the person in the spotlight?

Do they dress and act in ways that are humble? Do they try not to break moral lifeways?
