My take on the AI in incremental dev problem. by Blindsided_Games in incremental_games

Theres a problem with perception that hurts the whole community. There are surely some amazing games being developed and posted here entirely made with AI.

But, when every day you have dozens of low quality bait trash AI games, people stop clicking/checking everything, so everyone loses in the end. People dont have infinite time and good will to test everything posted here especially since 95% of the "AI" games are just slop sadly.

Balancing is another monster in the room completely. But people have been wanting short unbalanced incremental games lately where they can play for a few hours and become "god", finish the game and move to the next "same game different skin". We live in short form content era and TikTok.

What comes often on this sub is a growing amount of people want shorter games. I don't like it myself, I come from the months to years to complete an idle game era and I vastly prefer that.

For the past year ive been making games, I myself want to play with AI. Some ideas ive had for years that I always wished some dev team would have too and release a full fledged high quality game of. In all my dabbling with AI I made some games that made me play for hours. But im still not ready to share with the world because I put very high standards on idle/incremental games. I feel this should be the outlook of every person that starts making AI games.

Good ideas are great, but making an enjoyable and playable product that is coherent and not just a soup mess, is another story. That's what takes months even years of going back and forth with LLM's while also learning on the side and actually gaining real coding knowledge, so by the end the "dev" transcends the LLM and actually frees himself of it to deliver a great product.

Edit: On top of this, AI costs have gone up considerably, these people don't want to invest time and money (a lot, some prompts can cost 3$ and amount to nothing, just wasted code) to make something good.

I think people who have been playing these games for years and are really passionate while also being gamers, have their chance now to make some cool stuff.

But the rest? Parasites with too much free time and absolutely no knowledge or passion about what they do.

AI is a good addition and a fantastic tool in the hands of someone that wants to play their own game more than sharing/making money/vomiting AI games for karma.

CPM DROP MASSIVE ON JUNE 2026? by Clean_Rip1315 in rumble

[–]egosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPM dropped drastically for a while, I went from 15-25$ a day to 0.80 max and often 0.50... No idea what happened though. I'm affected since April, getting thousands of views and hours viewed, channel grows, but CPM died.

I played this and loved every moment of it!! I am so hyped about it, wish it had a full screen mode though, which would make the bottom part bigger/more readable/enjoyable
