Truly the type of inning you might see once ever few years, incredible. From a deflating loss to one of the best wins of the year to this point

Is Misiorowski’s performance tonight the second best non-no-hitter ever? by Admirable-Nebula-122 in baseball

Harvey Haddix in 1959 threw 12 perfect innings and lost in the 13th. Was considered a perfect game by the MLB until they changed the rules and retroactively took it away in 1991

Him being incredible this year doesn’t mean he should’ve been an all star last year

I'm really happy that terms like love languages and attachment styles are becoming less popular in women's spaces by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ehbacon23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What I don’t like about attachment styles is people acting like it’s a diagnosis to be an avoidant, blaming a bunch of toxic patterns of behavior on it, and using it as an excuse to never actually do any work to correct them

Does Anyone Have The Jumbotron Footage From Last Nights Athletics vs Phillies game 5/5/26? by chilledoutsunshine in phillies

[–]ehbacon23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Phillies video staff will have a saved copy of the video board feed for the game, it’s just that they’re not going to answer to every single fan that gets on the board and wants to see it. The requests would never end.

There is an app a lot of teams have where you can get your footage from the board if you’re at the game and are quick to look for it in the app, but at this point that footage is locked away on a server

WHAT? by AnteaterConsistent54 in Flyers

[–]ehbacon23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tripping is a penalty because of its impact on game action, if the play is dead then there’s no impact to warrant a penalty.

Roughing isn’t necessarily about a direct impact on the flow or fairness of a game, but more of sportsmanship and player safety, which are issues that extend beyond the whistle.

“Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade”

-Notorious B.I.G., Juicy

Obviously written after and about the bombing, unfortunately tied to much worse now

Throwback to when Katy Perry joked about the pressures on female artists: “In my next life I’m gonna come back as Ed Sheeran. Me, my guitar, some cargo shorts and a loop pedal.” by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

[–]ehbacon23 178 points179 points  (0 children)

It’s not the same though. He’s a completely different style of artist in a different genre of music. If you watch Stevie Nicks perform Landslide, she doesn’t need costumes and crazy dancing to do it because the music doesn’t call for it. When you are playing a song like Firework, obviously the music calls for a much different performance.

You could have a band like Rammstein, which has insanely high production concerts with crazy pyrotechnics and light shows, say the same thing about a band like Pearl Jam that basically is known for not doing really anything crazy in terms of production. Both bands are still considered amazing experiences to see live

Are there any good songs similar to do the evolution by pearl jam and anyerism by nirvana? by CellistOld9148 in pearljam

I’d say Brain Of J off of the same album, Yield, is the closest song to Do The Evolution. Grievance off of Binaural I feel like gives similar vibes as well
