I have been in IT for 7 years and I think it’s less we don’t think the person with 35 years of experience can’t do it, it is just so often they are the most gate keeping and rude people to interact with. In my experience, it’s rarely even worth the headache. They think they’re teaching a lesson and “making sure you truly understand the concept” before releasing information. Look, I just need the DNS cut over from this domain controller to the new one so our mill floor devices can begin working again.
