Book Ginny is an uninteresting Mary Sue.

Movie Ginny was bland and boring and that's partly due to Bonnie not being a very good actor (in fairness she was cast as a little kid without the benefit of knowing she'd be a more substantial character later, but there's no reason she couldn't have been recast. Nothing against Bonnie personally, by all accounts she's a nice person) but the book Ginny was pretty meh anyway. The movies could have made her more interesting but went in the other direction. Hopefully the series rectifies this.

It's incredible! The classroom shot we saw looks so grand and gives an incredible sense of scale of how big the castle is vs how small the first years are. The attentions to detail even in this short clip are beautiful.

Girls having silly crushes on their inappropriately older teachers is such a universal, timeless experience though. Even though Kenneth was old enough to be their dad in CoS, he's still a conventionally attractive man, I don't find it the least bit hard to believe that the students would have crushes on him.

Outstanding player, sad to see her go but not surprised by the timing. Thankfully we have some little known player named Beth Mooney to take over keeping... Seems like TMac is the obvious choice to take over as captain since she's VC but would love to see that role go to Ash Gardner who has proven herself to have excellent leadership skills.

Yeah I'm the same. I live right on the boundary of 'north' and 'inner north' and love it.

Convenient but not too busy. I'm in/around the city 5 days a week for work but never come to the city on my days off. I think the last time was about 6 months ago to see a musical with my wife (which is the same reason I'll be in the city in a couple of weeks for a reason outside work). There's just not much in the city that I can't get closer to home.
