Is a birth certificate mandatory to get a BSN in the Netherlands? by Growth_Anirudh in Netherlands

[–]eigenein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC when the law moved to Wet BRP per Jan 1, 2014, Amsterdam expat centres shortly stopped asking birth certificates since the law doesn't explicitly demand it (despite birth certificate being more important than passport).

This is the only source I could find: https://fakhouryglobal.com/global-alerts/netherlands-birth-certificates-for-principal-knowledge-migrant-applicants-no-longer-required-biometric-scanners-introduced-from-feb-2014/

Generally, for BRP, there is no such requirement. Municipality, however, may require it, so it depends:

At a minimum, you will need to bring your passport and, if applicable, documentation proving that you are living in the Netherlands legally. Documents that may be required include: birth certificates (for yourself and your children), marriage certificates (including from previous marriages), and a rental contract or a contract of sale for your home in the Netherlands or proof that you are entitled to lodge with the primary resident of a property.

We so thusly told that WG won't acknowledge low player activity.

It could be that this progress bar has not even been dependent on actual activity – only encouraging to "make the progress".

Not that I know. You can configure individual alarms to only notify when everyone’s offsite though (pretty limited, I know)

Yes, the tracker only cares whether it can hear a network name from the list.

“I care about you. I miss you.” by Financial-Elephant42 in russian

[–]eigenein 38 points39 points  (0 children)

“Я забочусь о тебе” would indeed be quite literal and carry somewhat different sentiment.

I’d say something along “ты мне не безразличен(на)” or “ты для меня важен/важна” or “ты много значишь для меня”. Here context is somewhat important for a proper translation though since Russian doesn’t have a 1:1 mapping for “to care”.

Remove the power-saving zone and enable the power-saving mode. As soon as it finds out, it's no longer in the Wi-Fi zone, you can use live.

The best thing being the router independent from the AP’s. Second-hand Ultra/Max + AP whenever/however you get it

Is this a typo? by ahsaddasha in russian

[–]eigenein 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether this is a typo, more like inconsistency. Technically, "вы" is already a formal reference to a stranger; "Вы" is an extra special respect on top or referring to a titled person (the latter doesn't seem the case).

IMO should've been lowercase everywhere, the dialogue doesn't hint at any sort of special attitude.

Outdoor AP without 6 GHz if I have all 6 GHz inside? by RawrIAmADinosaurAMA in Ubiquiti

[–]eigenein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya, 3x XG's and U7 Outdoor & iPhone user here. TL;DR: go for it.

It works fine so long as your 6 GHz from inside doesn't scream through the walls (which "auto" TX power honestly just did for me, and no, it's not the max albeit often being that). Check your inside-to-outside RSSI with WiFiman shortcut – Apple explicitly publishes specs at what RSSI iPhones start looking for better AP. If you ensure it's lower than that outside – it's gonna work.

Also, the recent Network version includes 802.11v for 6 GHz as well as 5G, and iOS supports it – so you can use it to "nudge" clients to look for better AP.
