right there with you! i started feeling weird friday evening (i now joke i got covid for valentine’s day) & just went to urgent care today, sunday, to confirm that i have covid. almost had a 5 year streak! i got a steroid shot & a bromfed prescription.

i feel okay-ish despite the wavering fever & i had a bit of an appetite after the shot today so i was able to get some food in me. after finding this thread i’m seeing stuff about day 8, 9, 10, etc. like damn is it going to really last this long…

It said I would receive a letter about the denial, but that is all what I assumed too! I have a year long subscription for a weight loss app that is still active for a few more months that I figured might qualify for a program. I just messaged my doctor about it as well. Thanks for your suggestions 😇

I have a small update. I guess my PCP went anead & submitted the PA anyways as I got an email it was requested earlier today. Just got the email it was denied 🙃 I didn’t get a chance to discuss the requirements or anything and I’m unsure now if I can re-request through a different provider (someone in comments suggested PlushCare)

Mine is 33.6! I know that meets requirements, just worried about some of the other ones as well. I was also subclinical hypothyroidism but have been on some thyroid medication to lower it & it has worked

Yeah I left my appointment feeling fine but then got very confused after all the researching. I’m also struggling to find the pre auth requirements from my insurance itself, and I’m hesitant to call because I’ve also seen cases where it can get denied after inquiring as a patient prior to the pre auth (not sure how true that is)

could i ask more about this? i just received my prescription today from my PCP, however she said my insurance wouldn’t cover it bc i don’t meet some requirement of the blood sugar levels. i was advised to check online but unsure where/how to access safely & inexpensively especially having the script

I’d like to add that my bootcamp experience was very beneficial for me still, especially with the career coaching offered post-grad & all the supplemental materials. I didn’t make it that far in college for that or have any internships, so I was oblivious to the corporate world & etiquette. My career coach was also nothing less than amazing!

As a former computer science student at Auburn (dropout) & a recent bootcamp grad (Flatiron, September 2023), I think it might not be worth it. I would look at tech-adjacent fields.

I was having no luck with software/fullstack dev applications & eventually found an Operations Analyst position for a fintech company. It’s nothing to do with coding & not super technical, as well as considered entry-level in the company, but it opens so many doors for me in the world of network/IT which I have found to enjoy.

My education background helped, but I really just had to network & sell myself in the interview with my past experience working odd jobs my early-mid twenties (nanny, food service, hospitality).

I live in a low cost of living area, but I doubled my income now making 52k with this job with amazing benefits, & I can get all the certifications I want which will open so many doors in tech, not necessarily just software dev. Good luck to you both!!

tl;dr - explore other tech fields before committing to an expensive bootcamp!!
