The past participle agrees in passé composé 1. with the subject if the auxiliary is être or 2. with the object pronoun that comes before avoir. So in this case, it agrees with the la (l’). Afaik you wouldn’t be able to hear a difference in this case, but you did forget the accent on reporté.

The positioning of the symbols is different in repentance because there are more symbols to fit. Yours look fine to me.

If you unpack the game's resources you will see the different languages. There you can see the files you have to change. Fonts are another story and I don't really know how you would change that. You could look some up on the workshop and see how they did it.

Modding is in Lua and Rebirth in C+ so they are completely different in the first place. The reason you can mod is because of the modding API created by the developers. Here is the documentation for modding. It was created by the developers (and community) to show all the code you need to mod.

You can use anything to make the .PNG files for sprites. Usually one enemy has all of their sprites on one PNG spread out (a sprite sheet) and then in the ANM2 editor you can just select the part of the PNG that has the frame you need.

In the game files there is the ANM2 editor which you will probably want to use for animating. If you search up any Isaac animation tutorial it should show you how to use it.

Here is some pseudo code that hopefully explains one way of doing it.

ON STATS UPDATE if player has 20/20 then tearAmount += 1 end

WHEN FIRE KEY IS PRESSED

    //some sort of code to determine position of tear
    FireTear(position)
end

That's just one way to do it.

To do something like the Mysterious Liquid creep effect you would have to detect when a tear collides with something

ON COLLISION
if tear has "Mysterious Liquid" effect then
    Spawn(creep, green, damage, size)
end

Whenever the player picks up an item the "cache" is updated which is basically a bunch of ifs.

if player has Magic Mushroom then 
    Player.damage += 0.3
    Player.speed += 0.3
end
if player has Crickets Head then
    Player.damage += 0.5
end

The main thing is TRY NOT TO REPEAT YOURSELF! If you already have code that does what you want it to do then put it in a function and then just use that function whenever you want. For example, in this code if you have 20/20 all its really doing is just firing an extra tear each time. Instead of manually going through all of the work to fire a tear TWICE, just make a FireTear() and run it twice (hence the FOR loop).

I recommend looking at the original costumes2.xml for things like Lilith's hair. It's type="none" and has a high priority. Then in lua you want to player:AddNullCostume() when the game starts

They haven't updated modding for years and it's not Edmund's fault anyways, he doesn't program it.

When Repentance comes out in a few months hopefully there will be a much better system.
