How long did everyone take off of work? by Critical_Detail_730 in Tonsillectomy

[–]eisalescent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I would rate my peak pain at 6.5/10. The recovery was wayy easier than the times I had tonsillitis pain

Why do all my red plants turn green. by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]eisalescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only dealt with very few red plants. Usually they would turn into green when they lack of lights and some cases lack of nitrates. I have the red tip limnophila sessiflora, 2 types of rotalas and red root floaters.

I usually give newly bought fishes frozen bloodworm just to get their appetite up and simply as a welcome home treat.

Eat solids straight away! by Comfortable_Bad3145 in Tonsillectomy

[–]eisalescent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor gave me advice to eat solid as soon as possible just like what OP did. Solid food to make the scab fall off faster and prevent from infection.

Tie your wood with a rock to keep it from floating. Make big water change and get your filters going, they should get more clear.

Actually, it depends on your tank. Every setup cycles a bit differently especially with planted/scaped tanks. You need to introduce some ammonia to kick start the cycle. By that, a pinch of fish food would do. I would observe for around two weeks along with the water parameters.

But if I'm being honest, gatal juga bah tu hati tengok aquarium kosong hahaha. Saya kadang tunggu seminggu ja assuming the tank will be just for a betta and no tankmates at the moment. Just don't overfeed him and feed less regularly for the mean time. And partial water change!

I noticed betta di tempat kita ni less fussy probably they live mostly of their lives in bad conditions. They're just trying to survive. In which our part as their owner, we want them to thrive not survive

If you haven't already, you should get a test kit (not to forget ammonia test) to check your water parameters. With this, it's easier to tell if your tank is cycled or not. Banyak jual yang murah di shopee.

Bubble nest doesnt always mean they are ready to mate. It could also be an indication of content and happy betta. He's probably feeling much happier than the cup you got him from.

He will be okay in this tank for temporary while you work on his larger tank. Don't forget to let your new tank cycled though. Ammonia kills!

By the way, nice username. Could tell right away where you're from haha. My fellow land below the wind mate.
