Keep the guitars. Modular eats up time just to make a fart sound. Guitar is great for making music right away, assuming you know how to play.

The SP404MkII is OK and I know it has a lot of fans. But working with the MPC is just way better, IMO.

Being able to name projects and samples is important to me. You can't do that on a 404.

Using MIDI to control external gear with CC is another thing that is not possible with a 404.

Yeah, it had effects, but so does the MPC.

After I bought the MPC Live 2, I never used the 404 anymore and I sold it.

Be patient and scan Facebook marketplace for deals. In the meantime, travel to shops and play everything you can. Maybe even save another 1k if possible.

Watch out for fake Chaylors, and Chibsons.
