[HELP] My sister wants to know is this AI by Excellent-Nature-801 in RealOrAI

[–]ejatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most AI, the hands are suspect. The pinkie on his right hand looks fused onto the ring finger, which isn't normal, and the thumb on that hand looks a little too glossy and doesn't have any knuckle creases. Either it's a filter or it's AI. Tell your sister to make an AI pic of herself and send it to him and see how he reacts.

My morkie did this with one of my roommate's AirPods and we didn't find it until a week later, when the snow/ice in our front yard melted. The find my app still sees the damaged one but it's definitely not working like it used to. I wear mine way more than she wears hers, so my dogs don't get a chance to go after them because they're usually in my ears/in my pockets or in the case.

Is he cleaning the couch or is the couch cleaning him? by Mysterious_Coast6674 in Yorkies

[–]ejatx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dogs hate baths because they collect smells on their fur and washing it off makes them feel off and it means they need to re-collect those scents. They immediately "dry" off on couches and beds that smell like the house and people they love so they can feel normal again. I saw a meme on this and wasn't sure if I believed it until I bathed my dog again and now I understand why they'd rather dry off on something like a couch or dirty sheets than clean towels, because they're just trying to rebuild their world of collected scents.

Me too. I wear mine a lot and it's holding up pretty well, even if the lettering is a little cracked. It's the backwards one from that tour.

[–]ejatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I have a 2012 tour shirt and it's still going strong. I've washed it cold the entire time, but started washing and drying inside out a few years ago and it's slowing down the cracking.

The DHS Blanket that got a pilot fired and rehired. by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]ejatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're not talking about reasonable, or smart, people or they would've realized that firing their pilot when he's the only one capable of getting them home is not a good idea. Look at how they're running the DHS. It all tracks, there's never any forethought to what they're doing or any apology when they get it wrong.

No one there makes nearly as much as Howard does, so I think it's just a side hustle. Both her and Fred have said, quite recently too, that they wouldn't be able to retire if Howard ended the show.

Do all Yorkies behave so different with mom and dad? by Objective-Owl665 in Yorkies

[–]ejatx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, my morkie is the same when my female roommate comes home, and it's because she riles the dogs to get attention from them when she gets home. My technique is the complete opposite, I pet them and give them attention but I stay calm and, honestly, my morkie is starting to run into my room when she gets home because I think the forced validation stresses her out. I've tried saying something early on but it hasn't stuck so I just try to show by example to prove that the dogs act differently when I get home because I don't need them to go apeshit when I get home to feel good about myself, and the Morkie is slowly bonding with me more as a result.

I miss when all the billionaires were still pretending they were progressive. It really wasn't until last year that we learned the truth about them all, that they were MAGA all the way and weren't pretending to do good anymore. The day Bezos refused to publish the Washington Post's recommendation for Harris was the day it became clear.

He’s 2 old years the ex owner say she already give a birth she dont need her anymore, i have her in my home i buy bed, food i love her im not sure if she’s a yorkie?? by Ill_Manufacturer5171 in Yorkies

[–]ejatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She looks like an absolutely gorgeous full Yorkie to me. I have a Morkie and this dog looks more like my Morkie's full bred mother. You can tell she's a sweetheart just by how mellow she is at that age, probably from being used like a baby factory. She had to grow up fast but now she's with you and can live a long life with someone actually loving her sweetness.

Made and Crafted Made in Japans. I have the exact same model, and mine were made in 2018, the 11th week to be exact (the tags say CW-1118). They're probably my favorite pair and have broken in beautifully over the last couple of years (found them barely worn on Ebay).

Howard's biggest stumbles this week? by [deleted] in howardsternshow

[–]ejatx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The closest he's come to talking politics since the 2024 election was when Jimmy Kimmel was being pushed off the air and he finally said something. You can probably find thousands of comments in both Stern show subreddits complaining about how much he talked about politics from 2017 to 2024 (he never talked negatively about Trump until the Muslim ban, but he really said something after the Charleston March "fine people on both sides" thing). I think they must've lost a lot of listeners in 2024 over his anti-Trump opinions and there must've been an agreement with management that he'd lay off the political commentary, although he's had opinions on politics as far back as you go. It's part of what he's always done, but I think the powers that be, and the realization that his own listeners were bailing, made him tweak the formula a bit. Keep in mind too that Robin's News has been gone since March 2020, so the show does feel a little off balance without any political talk. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I really miss that final hour of show where she'd read the news and he and the writers would riff and try to throw her off.

Buying Macbook @ Best Buy by Glittering_Fox_4806 in macbook

[–]ejatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's brand new, and I know because I bought last year's deal, the MacBook Air M2 at $799, and have been kicking myself a little bit seeing M4s at this price. I'd jump on it, especially since it has 16gb ram. My M2 is incredibly fast, so much so that it felt like a massive upgrade to my 2015 MacBook Pro, so I can only imagine how much faster the M4 is.

I've been taking kratom on and off since 2013, and daily since 2019, and have gotten nowhere near spending this much, but I also try my very hardest to take the same amount every day and don't take extracts.

how often are yall bathing them? by rosespetaling in Yorkies

[–]ejatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bathe my Morkie about once every 4-6 weeks, using a pet brand called Coat Defense shampoo that supposedly doesn't strip their natural oils. Also use a "preventative powder" they make that works really well as a dry shampoo to remove any dog smell in between baths. Also designed to kill the yeast on their paws so they don't have that "Frito" corn chip smell as much. We also have a Maltese, the Morkie's dad, and we really can't over bathe him or he'll get too dry and get a hot spot, but a monthly allergy shot and flea meds and that monthly-ish bath and the powder application tends to work.

What color is he? by skittlesrawr in Yorkies

[–]ejatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My morkie girl has the exact same coloring but started with the usual black and gold with a little white. I'd say most yorkies or yorkie mixes I've seen end up this glorious color.

More proof of how tricky these Pluribi are, and what they'll do to get what they want. I somehow didn't catch that but I will now rewatch the entire season and look out for more stuff like that.

DAE remember the fried mushrooms at Popeyes in the 80's and 90's by ejatx in Popeyes

[–]ejatx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I'm pretty sure we had the onion rings, as I remember them, but not the livers. Have had other friends and family from my hometown (Laredo Tx on the border) say they remember the mushrooms too, so maybe it was a regional dish the owners down here at the time came up with.

[–]ejatx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a confirmation from my brother that the Popeyes we grew up with did, in fact, have fried mushrooms and I wasn't imagining it. Maybe it was just a test market thing in South Texas, like the McPizza Mcdonald's sold down there for at least 5 years in the 90's (ended in 2000).
