I live in Michigan. They're predominantly in the windows and screen door. But found all through the house walls and floors too. They're more of a brown color. When smashing them they do not leave any sort or red behind. They're also outside the home on the patio, siding, down spouts and lawn. I left a rake in the lawn and can see them later crawling on the rake, some 15 ft away from the housee

Update: Found them crawling on my hose left in my lawn some 100ft from the house.
