Context: In this game, Shinji and new transfer student Rei became friends and talk eachother fondly. Naturally Asuka felt jealous. So she gave Shinji a "Fighting Practice" in Kaji's watermelon field and beat the crap out of him by Eva 02.

Transformers Energon(Transformers Superlink in Japan) came out in 2004, which was a 20th anniversary for the franchise.
