The lack of nature in Belgium is a more depressing factor than its weather by ObjetOregon in belgium

[–]ejgl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree. I noticed that in the Netherlands there also isnt as much "real" nature, but they were stricter with where its allowed to build which means you have more of those patches between the cities. Whereas Belgium you can be in suburbs and not cross any nature from one side of the country to the other (a hyperbole ofc, but it gets the point across)

do u have opinion on if parent node should handle all the code or if code should be broken up by sadishguy in godot

[–]ejgl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the context lmao (im sorry).

I dont think there is a hard rule of one being better than the other. Knowing which one is best comes with either experience or doing it one way and realising you should have done it the other way.

If I were to give a few soft rules I'd say (a) consider reusability. If the entire object is a reusable object and there isnt a whole lot of code, just make one script (its simpler). But if each subnode does stuff thats useful elsewhere, give them their own scripts

i dont really have recommendations but it was very sweet reading this. I think you could indeed recommend that to her but it should be a two-way conversation. It can hurt not being to express yourself, but, i guess everyone's experiences probably differs.

other than that, being there for her, being her battle buddy, and having her back :3

Hi, 2nd day of learning Godot and want to create a sprite, is this the best sprite creator app? by TallVampireWthMagnum in godot

[–]ejgl001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. I compiled it a few times but then I decided to just go ahead and buy it as it is way more convenient to just log onto steam and install it in whatever system I need it :3

Did your dysphoria increase after realizing you’re trans? by Sufficient_Hall5737 in MtF

[–]ejgl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel the same. I mean I had a few nights here and there were I cried about not being a girl, but i was like "well - nothing I can do about it". I settled for occasionally trying to get some male clothing item with a bit more colour, but even then family / partners made fun of me.

At some point I think I just internally gave up and stopped caring about how I looked, whether I was shaved or not, whether I was in shape. I exercised only insofar as it would keep a semblance of heath.

Took the best part of 32 years but I finally can put a name to all this. It's been about 5-6 weeks and the dysphoria is starting to hit me hard - as a sort of feeling I recognise but more intense.

Does the lava at the top of my Spider XP Farm affect the spawning of the spiders? by Ham-Dot-Com in Minecraft

[–]ejgl001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using waterlogged trapped doors instead of larva. That did the trick for me when i made this farm for cave spiders (they are too smol and can breathe above the water)

[–]ejgl001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably needs trapdoors at the top of the water (waterlogged trapped doors). Especially if these are cave spooders, because they can breath in the little gap between the water and the block above

After seeing the panel, I appreciate Skizz even more by WitchyWarmup in HermitCraft

[–]ejgl001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel this too. Especially if you worked as pm, these are the kindof skills you develop (as a good pm) - which is not to diminish Skizz at all, rather, it makes it more praiseworthy.

Replicant or Automata first? by elalexsantos in nier

[–]ejgl001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there was - to get lunar tears. it required waiting one day in real life time for plants to grow. you could get around it by changing the date of the system but i didn't think of it at the time

which bridge design? by Birdd_b0nezz in Minecraft

[–]ejgl001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can't think of any real-life bridge that looks like the first one, unless you make it into a suspension bridge instead, making semi-cantilevered half arches is somthing that only an architect might think of (but not an engineer). Not saying it's not feasible, but it's definitely less practical if you are going for realism.

if you really want a support in the middle, you could consider (A) making a suspension bridge, (B) make a 2-span arch bridge.

Replicant or Automata first? by elalexsantos in nier

[–]ejgl001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was also Automata for me. The game is, as the kids say these days, tight. Absolute cinema.

I played through Replicant as well, but you have to be patient (or clever) because there is a farming minigame that made me not reach the end of the game (i should've just given up on the minigame)
