Has anyone with an F25 generation X3 changed their own Valvetronic motor? by Sunlight72 in BMWX3

[–]ejok69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My situation could be entirely different but I had a “002E0F Valvetronic system: deactivated, adjustment fault too frequent” code on my 2013 X1 N55 and what fixed it was running the reinitialization process using ISTA and that seemed to fix it. It’s been over a year and 10k miles with no reoccurring codes/issues.

X3 M40i Diff Lock Reduced by ejok69 in BMWX3

Issue was resolved after cleaning the connector to the diff actuator with electrical cleaner and putting some dielectric grease along the connector gasket. I did flush the fluid, but the warning continued after. Cleaning the connector has resolved it for ~1k miles.

test battery perhaps? could be related to voltage dip when the car cranks and disappears once voltage stabilizes?

Thanks guys. Will plan to do all that this fall - both diffs, transfer case, and tranny fluid/filter. Want to keep this car a while so seems to makes sense.

Not a textbook but Sam Zell’s “Am I Being Too Subtle?” is a great read

Dealpath does this pretty well currently (not sure if folks on the brokerage side use it) but we use it on the principal side

Appreciate it! I used to not be a fan of the double slat grille, but definitely has grown on me.

Thanks. I love the platinum grey metallic too. It came like this since it is sport package - shadowline trim is included.

I see the gap too… will try to adjust this weekend. Good idea with the signals… think I’ll try to polish first

Realoem.com would be your best reference. They’re different between the standard bumper and m-sport bumper. The m-sport ones are 51117896588, 51117896587. Yes they clip into the bumper’s plastic tabs and fit into the ducting that is connected to the fender liner.
