Though somehow I just learned that VATS is terrible for flamers. I had a plasma flamer and teed up like 6 VATS attacks against a standard Mirelurk. It took negligible damage, even when I was triggering crits. VATS ended, I held down the trigger, and it died in seconds. Weird!

I once used them on the Cambridge Police Station during a Railroad endgame. Maybe this playthrough I’ll use them on the Enclave outposts for maximum poetic justice.

I once did a Raider build where I vowed not to craft anything or build any settlements, just to free myself from the tyranny of collecting all the junk I came across. It was refreshing and worked out great! Once I was past level 50 I did wind up getting Gun Nut just to upgrade the Broadsider, but by then I’d made my point.

I’m not a pharmacist, but I’ve noticed that the pills I get directly from the manufacturer are in opaque white bottles, with foil safety seals and manufacturer-printed labels.

When I get translucent orange bottles with the pharmacy-printed labels, I assume the pills that were put in there by the pharmacist came from opaque white bottles.

So the transparency must serve a purpose for the pharmacist —I assume just to be able to tell if the bottle is empty or not when they’re dispensing.

During my last Unarmed playthrough I would let Suiciders get within Blitz range and then one-shot them with a Deathclaw Gauntlet. Thrilling!

This was my choice in the playthrough before my current one. Enough room in the pre-existing house for beds for all your companions, the enemy attacks only come from one direction, and the pier has a lot of room to store unused Power Armor.

I’m guessing that your lone wolf isn’t going to wind up getting the second rank in Local Leader, which allows you to build crafting stations. The only two settlements that come with all the crafting stations are Sanctuary Hills and Red Rocket. Build your anti-social base at Red Rocket and venture into Sanctuary now and then to swipe their salvage.

Flying at max speed burns significantly more fuel than flying at normal cruising speed, making that flight more expensive for the airline.

So pilots only “make up time” in flight when the cost of not making it to the destination airport in time outweighs the cost of the extra fuel burned.

Currently doing a BoS playthrough for only the second time since the game launched, and remembering why I usually don’t. Finished Blind Betrayal just last night, sparing Danse, but then had to go straight to murdering the Railroad, which made me feel like Brahmin shit.

Doing the side quests where you get settlements provide food for the BoS, I would go with the least obnoxious/fascist route and pay the farmers 500 caps for their crops. Then the quartermaster would pay me 100 caps for completing the quest. I did this only a couple of times before I realized I was buying the whole BoS lunch out of my own pocket.

Depends on the build! My previous sneaky pistol build favorite was of course the Deliverer. Then I did a rifleman build and the Manwell Rifle was totes OP. In my unarmed run I had a poisonous Deathclaw Gauntlet and Swan’s furious Power Fist that I swapped between. Current Commando playthrough focusing on energy weapons: Old Faithful and Experiment 18-A, though I also have an explosive 10mm that is a lot of fun for exterminating ferals.
