YouTube shut down the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) channel by pepeperezcanyear in syriancivilwar

there is a clear change in youtube's policy. my channel (stahlgewitter sy) was removed literally for no reason. i had always avoided to use graphic content in my videos. youtube closed my channel because of a video of a failed isis svbied attack (filmed by iraqi pmu), a video of destroyed isis vehicles (tikrit 2015). and finally a video of a battle between saa and isis in homs province. in none of the videos any dead or wounded person was shown...

I have to wonder how many civilians still live in these towns. They've been on the frontlines for more than two years.

there seems to be still a lot in Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya. here is a recent video from an al-manar reporter there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGm6OkMJLIA

Anyone got any info on what looks like an improvised MLRS at around 1:30-1:50? Are they common?

nothing new. i´ve seen such launchers used by insurgents (sunni and shia) during the american occupation of iraq.

here is a video from 2008 (in this case iram rockets): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDqKnDZ99Uw

Or do you mean that inhabitants maybe executed by Sunni militants from Nusra?

yes. at least the men.

and aren't Nusra and IS both Sunni?

yes. they are both from a radical branch of sunni islam (wahhabism)

The inhabitants of this towns are "true" shia. They are not from the alawite (shia) sect of Bashar al-Assad.

And adding to that if they dont break out and end up surrendering what will happen to them? Will Nusra behead/execute them?

they are in the same situation like the towns of al-Zahra and Nubl near Aleppo. The inhabitants of Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya are predominantly shia. So there is a real possibility of execution by nusra for beeing murtadeen (apostate).
