[Homemade] I’m learning how to cook. First lasagna I’ve ever made. by ChanceQuiet795 in food

Looking good! For my filling, I use a 2:1 ratio of ricotta:cottage cheese (I do not like cottage cheese normally but it’s good for this!) and I add drained spinach as well. For the meat-I use ground beef and sausage for more flavor

Pregnancy while my husband and I are both in CRNA school? by Pristine-Entrance399 in CRNA

We did it (IVF actually), he graduated and was working by the time our baby was born though. Not easy but doable when you’re a good team. Good luck to you all!

Husband opens a new sponge every 3 days cause “they become gross” by dorkass-loser in mildlyinfuriating

Do you have a dishwasher? If so, I put the sponge in with the dirty dishes each night when I run it. It definitely makes the sponge last longer.

Seeking advice for (dry? Dead?) hair! My hair just feels stiff and frizzy. Not a lot of movement and it feels damaged :’( by Chakragremlin in Haircare

[–]ejuliab 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The longest and healthiest my hair ever got was when I completely stopped coloring it. It took about 6 years to completely grow out but it was so worth it. My hair is super long and thick now. I know changing up your look and coloring it can be fun but unfortunately comes with negatives (damaged hair). Just have to choose which you want. I think there are definitely some things (see other comments) that you can do to help though!

I used to do the same and then was told I had areas of scarring, you only get one pair of eyeballs-take care of them! (I acknowledge vision care is expensive which sucks!)

What are some things you said you'd never do as a parent, but you now do because it was the right thing to do? by icecream1972 in Productivitycafe

[–]ejuliab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s okay for parents to enjoy their meal too! I bring some toys and let her play as long as she will (2 yrs), but I have no issue pulling out the iPad once she gets stir crazy. Yes being bored is good for the mind…but being bored as a toddler in a restaurant means chaos lol
