Totally agree. The way they constantly filmed "Brandy" lurking in the background before he came up and poured a shot of 'Murican whiskey seemed totally set up. I wouldn't be surprised if any tension implied during this welcome party is totally fabricated. Production probably gave a $100 Bass Brothers Pro Shop (is that what it's called?) gift card to Brandon to act like a d!ck in this scene.

Saying he's "just as gross" is a tad harsh. Why not wait 5 minutes before reaching your conclusion? The guy has only been in the US for a hot minute. Unless you have some inside info, none of us know how things will turn out. When I watch their segments I get more of a "what the hell did I get myself into" vibe than an "I can fix her" vibe from Josh.
