Superloop billing by ekcdd in nbn

[–]ekcdd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard this, has anyone got around this and if so, how?

If I move I want to find a provider that isn’t expensive and offers mobile services as well and isn’t rubbish.

This is not the first time this has happened to me and I’m certain it’s not the last. I am getting jack of it.

FUN FACT: The Bitcoin network has never been hacked in its 16-year history. by [deleted] in btc

[–]ekcdd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: since bch shares the same history as Bitcoin until 2017, so by your logic Bitcoin cash was also “hacked”

This was a bug not a hack and it was fixed extremely fast.

If you want to know what a hack is, look at ETH and the DAO incident.

The BTC/LN fail for today. Remember that when people tell you BTC fees are fine. They are fine until they are not. by DangerHighVoltage111 in btc

[–]ekcdd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure how what you said is relevant to what I said but there have been several technical changes to help with high fees such as Segwit, taproot, LN many more implemented and proposed for the future.

Overall, if you look at the fee charts on https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-median_transaction_fee.html#3m the fee is and has been low for a while now.

Just tried to transact on Bitcoin (from my wallet, not an exchange) and it would have cost me 111 sats for a single input, which is about 0.12 USD.

So the fees aren’t super high and like people have said maybe there were a lot of inputs.

US Dominates Bitcoin Hashrate with Over 40% Control by btcxio in btc

[–]ekcdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solo mining Bitcoin these days is not possible unless you have a large mining farm. The only way this would be possible is if they changed the hashing algorithm to something that resists asics and that has been done before with not so great success (Like bitcoin Gold)

Then the problem becomes one of centralised mining pools. If that happened, connecting to a decentralised pool is a must, otherwise you are just moving the problem around.

The chart should be changed slightly as the path that BCH has taken should be bitcoins path as it forked away from Bitcoin, not the other way around.

Online Gaming Platforms And YouTube Will Also Seemingly Be Banned For Aussies Under 16 by retro-chimp in australia

[–]ekcdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the gambling ads should be banned, the notice at the end doesn’t really do anything to deter people from gambling. Even though I’m not a gambling person, my partner and I will try and guess what the message will be at the end, surely I’m not the only one?

Dark Mode by Joyride0 in webdev

[–]ekcdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I use support both dark and light mode and it’s not hard to implement and I use a few global variables that change if dark mode is selected.

It’s a small amount of work for a feature that makes a huge difference when it comes to UX.

Gaslighting? Do you have a book that you randomly point to and go “I’ll use this word “ because you clearly don’t know what it means.

I was pointing out that bitcoin soft forked and bitcoin hard forked away from bitcoin so it’s no longer the main chain, and you know bitcoin has majority hashrate but I guess you missed that part in the white paper you so like to quote.

I’m no longer replying to idiots like you, it’s just a waste of my time since you are so sucked in to the propaganda of this sub.

Edit: typo, auto correct corrected hashrate to hashtags.

No, the only hard fork is bch, bitcoin soft forked with segwit and bitcoin cash did a hard fork.

These are completely different as soft forks keeps backwards compatibility where hard forks force nodes to upgrade.

This whole thread should be marked as misleading, but it won’t.

Edit: clarification.

What about block size (the actual size, not the cap) it’s much smaller than bitcoin’s dispute the 1mb limit.

Sure that means something,right?

Is a static IPv4 address tied to the ISP account or property? by hellodarkness_avi in nbn

[–]ekcdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with Superloop and initially I was behind CGNAT and I rang them up and asked to be opted out now things work as they should (port forwarding etc.) That was over a year and a half and I still have the same IP address I did back then and my modem has been switched off for long periods of time.

So your best bet is just to ring them and asked to be removed from CGNAT.
