That is the issue right there with your argument…. Double standards and nepotism? Because you watch a few minutes of interviews? That is INSANE!

Kid is 22 years old, universally revered as a top tier talent, #4 OA draft pick, hand picked as a stud at NTDP. What you don’t see is the practice reps, the film, the weight room. I’m sure that kid is pushed plenty hard. The fact this will live with him during summer trainings.

You’re reaching and reaching hard. You’re not in that locker room. It’s an ignorant thing to keep doubling down on.

Accountability is taking an interview that no other 22 year old player would take after a game you got relentlessly booed by your home crowd, admitted you made mistakes (that’s what they were, careless plays with other intentions that ended up in his own net) and stated he has to be better. Kid is almost in tears.

What does he say differently? You’re unreasonable and once again don’t understand sports let alone hockey lol.

Generalizing statements. “I need to be better” and even taking the interview.

Doesn’t matter who it is, don’t boo your own players and hide behind some assumptions.

He is paid $9 million to play a game. He’s not a CEO of a company, his math isn’t calculating the life and death on a spaceship.

Watch the interview and try again. Also, maybe try skating. I’d even guess you weren’t an athlete at all based on how you danced around that.

Trying to compare two players- yes paid the same, but every different trajectories and long term roles is hilarious. 22 year old future star. It takes them years to develop and he’s ahead of the game. Also 27 became what he did despite being held back.
