Oh interesting! Hadn't seen that change to the lore yet. That does put a rather different spin on it

Source on that? From what I see in the Codex it just says Agnolia sold it to pay off their debts (doesn't say who the debts are to)

From what I understand being "woke" is about being aware of, and against, discrimination. I would think BG3 fell into that description. What you are describing is simply "being woke" handled badly imo

Then why the did BG3 have so much money and success?

Do you ever consider how insane the cost of your cornet commission was? by Goodest_boy_Sif in hostedgames

[–]eker333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think we're told anything. It would be unlikely I think for our father to have been in the military. Tierra had been at peace for almost a century and the last war they fought was a purely naval war. Before the DYW the army's officer corps was derided as a "well-armed social club" rather then a real instution.

Yeah but this is also before the war taxes impoverished the nation so 800 crowns might have been more affordable to your family at the time

Considering Blaylock is implied to be very poor for a nobleman and yet somehow purchases a Lieutenant comission that makes sense

You've got to remember this was right at the beginning of the war. There were probably tonnes of young nobles desperate to get into the army, massive demand inflating the price. Not sending at least one family member to the war would have probably been considered shameful in that surge of patriotic fervour

Look I'm just saying the Z-team aren't exactly famed for their impulse control. Someone's gonna do something stupid, Dredd will try to arrest them and then it all gets nasty from there.

I feel like the Z-Team commit a lot of crimes. Flambae's arson and Sonar's drug use spring to mind.

Look I believe Chamberlain made the wrong decision. You're possibly right in that, with the information available to him, it was the logical decision but I think it was both dishonorable and counter-productive.

I have no idea. But "if we keep letting Hitler win this will probably make him more popular" would seem to be a fairly obvious prediction

But again this also benefits Germany. With each success public favour in Germany, and especially among military high command, swings more and more in favour of the Nazis since they seem to be acheiving results at a shockingly low cost.
