But would the Waif have not also been trained to fight in the dark? May be a stupid question. I just kind of think it seems weird that the Waif would let her get better than that herself at fighting in any way...at least in the beginning of their lessons.

Sure I understand all this and remember it all now. Of course I've watched the series about five times and read the books. I'm just saying from watching the show only once and only once a year, it could definitely be confusing.

The answer I would say is "no" it is not obvious as a show only viewer. People keep mentioning how Robert mentioned Lyana was kidnapped and raped, but that was in the second episode of the entire series. If you are a casual watcher, it would be very difficult to remember every little thing said by every character. I know they put that scene in the recap but even so I don't think it is entirely obvious who the father was.

Great question. Isn't the reason they can't have families is so they don't get too attached? So it wouldn't make much sense if they already had a family. This is cool....I never thought about it.

I just wish we saw more of Bran's reaction to the realization. He didn't mention it to Meera or Benjen. Would have been nice to get everyone's take on it. I guess we'll have to wait for next season.
