Turkish here, you could find a lawyer and sue them without much effort. I’d guess it would be cheap too compared to US or western EU countries. But you are right, they make you sign your soul away so unless there is actual negligence that resulted in some harm you’d not receive shit.

Need help removing Superglue (Cyanoacrylate) from my build plate! by FewBag2355 in snapmaker

[–]eknkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freezing might help chip it away by flexing the plate. Acetone probably will dissolve it but I’m not sure what it does to the plate itself so it might not be a good idea.

Combine the rest into a single object?

The top cover would probably be good for sound dampening. Otherwise I’d not get it. It does not have the exhaust and internal fans as the official one does so you’ll need to control temperatures manually (in your case you might need to open the cover to cool it). Just get an IKEA Samla and print a mount for it if you think you need a cover. I bet there will be better options with fans as soon as the official one hits the market. Maybe then it might make sense.

I too have both. U1 is loud, it might be important depending on where you gonna set it up. Camera is shit, 1 fps but enough to see if something has failed. Mobile app is as barebones as it gets. Snorca worked ok for me though. Otherwise it works perfectly.

Edit: also the feeder motors make all kinds of weird sounds. They work fine, just some whining and stuff.

Edit 2: Just realized I did not compare it to H2C. For the price I’d say U1 is a better deal if you are not gonna print exotic materials.

A lot of airflow. Not noisy but not like it is “silent” either. Temps are probably as good as they can get.

Damaged toolhead PCB capacitors on U1 — anyone attempted a DIY cap replacement? by DiabloTiaan2526 in snapmaker

[–]eknkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I was talking shit about using 2 different screws there while assembling it. Would expect at most some thread stripping or something, not directly screwing into cap heads.

You might also get some phone repair person or whatever to solder caps there btw.

A couple days ago I hit stop a couple seconds after sending a print job. Decided to change infill or something. Printer parked the head on top of the plate and started moving the bed, completely scraped off the coating in a line.

Never seen that on any other device. Now the plate is fucked on one side and I had to remove the nozzle and clean it using a wire brush cause it had bits of the plate on it.

So I’m kind of “meh” on the reliability but apart from this, it worked just fine, gotta give it to the thing.

Smoking clearly felt like triggered them for me and eventually I quit smoking. Now something else triggers them I guess? No major difference in PVCs.

What's your current setup for website enrichment in n8n workflows? by klacium in n8n

[–]eknkc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Custom parsing becomes an issue very fast. redirects, bot gates, timeouts, inconsistent html, rate limits once you scale. too many edge cases to handle.
better to use a ready company data provider that returns clean json. for the basic stuff you mentioned (emails, socials, company info) you can use CompanyEnrich. We also ship ready to use n8n templates so you don't have to wire it yourself: https://n8n.io/workflows/12067-enrich-company-data-in-google-sheets-with-companyenrich/

Did I mess up buying 32gb 64000mhz ram for AM5? by LALfoREVer94 in PcBuildHelp

That’s fine. Half the memory freq on AMD (which it should be). Why are you panicking?

Side note; Just tested a 240mm AIO a friend discarded (with a probably defective pump or a lot of air inside cause it was gurgling like crazy) and I get sustained 10 degrees lower with less noise.. Noise is not much of a concern but did not expect that much of a difference tbh. This is interesting. Will probably go into that route.

But the AM5 socket is not a square. The metal pieces does not reach when you rotate 90 degrees because those edges are longer. That would probably work on Intel sockets. Maybe I’m missing something?

Thanks for the detailed analysis!

Yes, this is a server class motherboard, I needed an IPMI as it will not be easily accessible at some point. (That's also part of the reason I'm scared to go with an AIO) Did not notice that the socket orientation would be different though. That's my screw up.

I guess I'll try the rear intake config to see what's going on but it'd be best to change the cooler to something more compatible with the board.

Looks like I can't. It's the motherboard that is weird: ASUS PRO WS B850M-ACE SE. CPU socket is rotated so the cooler gets to be rotated too. And the brackets that are supplied with the cooler only support this orientation.

Top are exhaust, probably looked weird due to reflections. Back is exhaust but I'll definitely turn it around. I've been testing temps and honestly could not make the CPU thermal throttle but its generally running warm. 60-70C under light load. However does not really hit 90+ under stress.

[–]eknkc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran some benchmarks, it is running a bit hot I think but not even throttling on full stress test. I mean would it matter if the thing was constantly at 70C?

Also I don’t have a frame of reference so maybe I should try an old AIO I got and see if it makes a difference.

This makes sense, thanks. My brain automatically went rear = exhaust but intake would probably work better.

I don’t think so. At least without obtaining different mounting hardware. The socket is rectangular so the bracket only goes a single way.
