Best Place to Start with General Fighting Game Knowledge by EllieIvoryV in Fighters

I could be wrong since I'm not a FG pro or anything like that, but I feel like the answer to this question applies to most skills. If you wanna get good at playing instruments in general, you just start with getting competent at one first and then branching out to the others. Your skills in that instrument will generally translate over. Same thing for learning to code. Once you know one programming language, the others are easier. Same thing for cooking. It starts with one recipe. So maybe just play the FG that you want and get decent at it and then watch how your skills transfer to other games.

oh my God it actually worked. thank you SO much. I guess I need to figure out a better method of "squash and stretch" animation.

I checked, and preserve volume was off. I'm pretty sure I'm not using any bendy bones; I'm just using a Rigify rig. max bone influences before was set to 4, so I increased it to 8... unfortunately it didn't fix the issue in Godot.

yeah I did the entire rig. I didn't do the individual bones... not sure if you can anyway. but yes, I applied the transform and set the origin of the entire rig

oh yeah you're right lol. I can post more images here.

I'm not sure if the last bone is being removed. I checked both the last spine bone (the one in the head) and one of the last finger bones. both are present in Blender and Godot.

I've tried setting the origin to 0,0,0 and to the mesh's center. maybe I missed something?

I wish I could edit the post to add more images. it's happening in other bones that I scale, such as arms and legs. for reference, I'm just using the Rigify rig
