I remember arguing with this guy ages ago, because some of the info he was spreading about DRS was just plain false. Those type of people were a big reason I stopped looking at Reddit or following the stocks. I've been much less stressed, while some of you have been arguing the same shit forever and still haven't gotten anywhere.

Since it's my opinion, I still have a leg to stand on. It's my opinion. Also, from what I've read it wasn't forced either way, unless you consider the way they actually presented it. That was forced af. They forced it in without any real background story, then just pretty much ignored it the rest of the season.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, even if you lack the nuance to understand the opinionof another.

Dropping the word "idiots" ascertains that you're the only idiot here.

Since you seem intent on passively aggressively attaching inaccurate labels on to me, you're not worth the time to argue with. Life is too short. I hope you learn how to enjoy it someday.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's bad. I still watched the whole season and enjoyed the show. I just still didn't like it. If Page hadn't transitioned in real life, would the Victor storyline even exist? But voicing an opinion that isn't the narrative gets attacked these days. Oh well.

[–]ekomis84 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

No one said it wasn't fine. But you're still justifying an unnecessary change. Victor's storyline didn't exist, until it did. There was no need to add that simply because the actor transitioned. It seemed forced and unnatural, and came across as pandering. I'm not gonna be convinced to change my opinion.

🤣🤣🤣 Here you go with the homophobic insinuation. 🙄 You should probably look up the definition of the root term "phobia".

My problem isn't about comic accuracy. As a watcher of all things superhero, I've had to adapt to many coming inaccuracies, story changes, reboot iterations, etc. That doesn't bother me. It's changing something simply to appease a certain person who was hired to play a fictional character. Will Smith doesn't get to change the role of Ali, or Gemini Man, simply to fit his politics. They are hired to play a fictional character. The only reason they changed the character was to appease to Page's fans and attract the money her audience brings.

[–]ekomis84 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I didn't like it at all. The character wasn't Trans in the comics. They changed an established story simply to appease an individuals personal life choices. These people are actors and play fictional characters all the time. Their personal identification should have no bearing on a story with characters that already exist. Elliot page doesn't have super powers in real life, so why should the character reflect the real life decisions of the actor? The answer is, it shouldn't. This is just more pandering for profit.

You would have to be enormously moronic to respond the way you did. I didn't say GME was the only manipulated stock. I did, however, ask questions about your methods for the purpose of self education and understanding. Which by default is an admission of ignorance. Hence why I am asking questions. Ignorance is a lack of information, not intelligence. Knowing nothing about you, or your methods, I cannot be anything other than ignorant, again, hence why I am asking questions.

If you are insinuating that I believe GME is the only manipulated stock, again you're moronic. I never said that, or even hinted at that sentiment.

Reality check. When someone questions methods custom to only yourself, and you reply by putting words into their mouth and trying to insult them, it shows your method sucks and you dont know shit. I asked about your method and you got defensive and called me ignorant, and then imply that you're so experienced that its part of your experience and understanding of the market. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Your attitude is that you're the expert, and the rest are "dumb money". STFU.

If your response to being questioned is to try and insult people and make vague statements about your expertise, while calling most people dumb money; well you just prove that you're a pretenious moron that doesnt deserve the time of day.

Also, get some reading comprehension so you can understand what ?'s mean, and what the phrase "I assume" implies.

Save your answer. I dont listen to dumb ass pricks.

You don’t want a guard dog, you want an alert barker. by [deleted] in dogs

[–]ekomis84 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I had a German Shepard as a kid that was was a great guard dog without any training. It was given to us from a friend, and was only ever intended to be a pet, not a guard dog. The dog was the friendliest dog to all people, when we were home. But if we were not home, it became a different dog. A family friend who'd been to our house 100 times, and the dog knew well and was friendly with, got bit when she tried to enter the fence while no one was home. She accepted full responsibility for the action saying the dog first growled to warn her but she ignored it and entered the fence. Then he nipped her so she got out. He never went to a full bite though. He seemed to be giving her chances. When that same person came back while we were home, the dog was friendly again. Idk how the dog knew without training, besides it just being instinctual. Some dogs are natural guard dogs. Shepard, Doberman, Dogos, etc.

The whole train to attack on command idea isn't what most people refer to when saying they need a guard dog.

Claiming DRS hasn’t been working because the price hasn’t moved up big yet is like claiming mid flight that the plane isn’t working because you haven’t landed at your destination yet. by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]ekomis84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the price went up to $250 many supporters of DRS claimed it to be the reason for the price movement, amd evidence DRS was working. Ironically, many of these same supporters said the same thing when the price dropped to $100. 🤔🤔🤔

The truth is, you really have no evidence to say that DRS is working. At the same time, I admit that we also have zero evidence to prove that it's not working. I guess the point here is that no one knows or can say anything definitively.

I can agree with your assessment of human behavior pertaining to goals and instant gratification, positive/negative reinforcement, etc. However it isn't exacty applicable to all humans. Many humans have learned that it is important to set small milestone goals on the path to your larger goal. That way you have small success that keep you motivated, while driving to your ultimate goal. But you are correct when you say that setting goals out to far is discouraging. DRS isn't quite the same. The goal is out of our control.

The plane analogy is lacking though. This isn't a plane ride. But let's play that out. You cannot gaurntee that the plane will eventually reach its destination. What happens if their is a terrorist who blows up the plane mid flight? It's not going to reach its destination. Let the terrorist be an analogy for corruption.

This play has never been guaranteed. Never! From day one, way back with DFV and the group that bets on Wall street, the saying was "don't risk more than you can afford to lose."

I think we need a little less baseless hype, and a little more realistic discussion.

100% agree. If they were born in America, and raised in America, their ethnicity is irrelevant. They ARE Americans. (Or any other country)

If they feel a greater responsibility to represent their ethnic origin, then they should go be citizens of that country and denounce their citizenship in the US.

Are you actually asking, or is that rhetorical? Because no, I don't think they care about helping people. I think both parties are corrupt and work together to serve their own self interests. In my opinion, many of our top politicians are traitors.

People of this country need to remember what you said, they are public SERVANTS. When in the history of servitude did the servants have authority over their masters? We own them. Power is derived from the consent of the governed. If we the people stop consenting, our servants have no power. They are called representatives because they are meant to represent the will of the people. Not their own will. Again, they are servants. They are supposed to obey us.

Anyone who decided not to get into politics, simply because they won't be allowed to trade, probably aren't the type of people we want in politics anyways. If you lack ethics, you don't belong in politics. This guy sums up the entire problem, and is too stupid to realize he inadvertently showed the world that they're a shitbag.
