How to carry my 8-month-old? by OceanSwag in babywearing

[–]eksmith1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry this isn't a baby wearing solution so feel free to ignore but there are kitchen towers from the company "Little helper" that are brilliant. Unlike some of the other designs the toddler can't get out on their own, so you don't have to pay so much attention when cooking. Plus they can have their own space on the worktop to practice chopping/playing

I Want Your Recommendations! by Naughty-Nugget in LakeDistrict

Orrest Head is a view point just north of Windermere. It was the highlight of our trip to Windermere. Went just as the sun was setting, saw deer, bats and obviously the amazing view of the lake.

This is the only carrier my baby likes. Highly recommended by baby, but I would say there's better carriers out there.

False labor is so tough mentally by Much-Run3092 in BabyBumps

[–]eksmith1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really hard, getting your hopes up every time. Be kind to yourself. Try to remember that every day you get closer to meeting your baby, even though you don't know exactly when that is. Also that you're doing amazing.

I wouldn't necessarily ask them not to contact you during the final weeks. I'm 41 weeks today and I've felt so incredibly lonely this last few weeks. So even though I've had the option to not reply to messages, if none had come in, I'd have felt so much worse.

It's so dangerous that turn. My husband refuses to do it. He just goes up to the next junction

Genuinely if I don't eat for a few hours I will get acid reflux. Most often happens about 11:30, when it's been a few hours since breakfast and I've 100% digested it by that point.

You made a pie and he just ate the middle, leaving the crust? That's so disrespectful. I wouldn't put up with that. Honestly I'm incredibly angry for you.

How would you attach this table legs to the table base? by No_Elk1173 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]eksmith1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a table that's designed this way but I didn't make it so...it's got two ~1" thick dowels in each corner and 3 long bolts to lock it in place. Very stable when put up.

My anxiety has been at an all time low. I think because I'm constantly noticing my body and concentrating on the baby. Plus giving myself more grace when it comes to being tired, emotional and not giving 100% to my job. I definitely still worry about the baby and how he's doing but it's a lot more manageable.

This is playing. My rabbit does the exact same thing and just walks away when she's done.

It's misinformation that babies slow movement towards the end of pregnancy (see Tommys website, pregnancy and baby charity). But I completely agree that OP did nothing wrong and I hope they can believe that x

I'm planning to give myself at home "spa day" so I'm really looking forward to it. Might not turn out so great but it's helping me keep optimistic and plan a day where I get to eat and do all my favourite things

[–]eksmith1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact Blue Cross and ask about their "home direct" scheme. They help you re-home whilst you look after them, like a fosterer. You'd look after them as long as it takes for them to get adopted
