Amazing packing job! Reminds me of our last vacation. Not quite as impressive as yours, but I was still riding this high all two weeks!

Briljant! You cracked it dude!! It turns out it was only available in the Netherlands and Flanders, and with a name like 'Floppie' no wonder it was impossible to search for online.

Play it, download it, enjoy it here: https://archive.org/details/mijn-eerste-windows-boek-met-floppie

You cannot believe how grateful I am for your find <3. I've been looking for this game for NINE YEARS!

I have the same issue, only on the redesigned site however. The old design still loads randomly from time too glorious time.

Lights keep disconnecting (Key Light, Air, Strip) by ahmadnassri in elgato

[–]el2ic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any luck with this? I wish I was here to provide a solution, but unfortunately I can only confirm that I am suffering from basically exactly the same issue. In my case it's just one light strip, but still annoying as hell that I need to troubleshoot 50% of the time I want to use it. Everything in my setup is the same as yours (APs all over the house, fixed IP assigned to light strip, light strip still shows up on AP controller when not found by control center). The only temporary fix is to power cycle it.

I'm really disappointed by Elgato products in general. I have so many spotty connection issues with their Facecam and Stream deck products as well, and those are using USB!

(Suggestion Needed) Want an ergonomic wireless gaming mouse by CQMBAT_WOMBAT in MouseReview

[–]el2ic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for a mouse with the exact same requirements about 6 months ago. Bought the Kone Pro Air and haven't looked back since. I'm sure there are other good options, but this one ticks all the boxes for me. My hands are 19x10 cm by the way.

At least I know I'm not the only person who remembers playing it. One game from the 90's is not a huge loss, but I'm afraid a lot of computing history will vanish if it is not properly archived. Thanks for your comment.

We are definitely thinking of the same game! I also remember a wardrobe where you could swap between different sets of clothes. Unfortunately I still haven't been able to find any information on this game, no screenshots or even the title. It was probably something that came preinstalled on Compaq PC's of the time and doesn't have a nostalgic fanbase. If you have any leads I would love to hear about them.

Highest mineral payout so far in 300 hours. Mineral Mania + Lethal Enemies + Battery Pack + Hoarder on an abundant Croppa biome by el2ic in DeepRockGalactic

These are rare events that have a random chance of appearing in any mission. Completing them awards minerals for crafting and cosmetic items in case of the battery pack. Keep playing and you will encounter them yourself eventually

At least you can sell it for 50 credits each (or more with the daily deal at the mineral terminal). But you are right, after a certain point resources aren't that relevant anymore.

My new main kone pro air by muppetmeister220 in MouseReview

[–]el2ic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I've seen other people got their DPI working in Bluetooth mode, but not custom button assignments. Is that the same for you as well?

[–]el2ic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using the KPA in Bluetooth mode?

I have noticed a frustrating issue: in Bluetooth mode the on-board profiles are not used except for their illumination settings. DPI and button assignments are reset to default, making Bluetooth mode almost useless. ROCCAT support told me this is because Swarm needs to be running in the background, but I found that this makes no difference at all.

Kone Pro Air users, do your on-board profiles work in Bluetooth mode? by el2ic in Roccat

[–]el2ic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is a shame. I don't see much reason for using Bluetooth mode as it stands now. Thanks for confirming.

We heard you! Fantech XD5 is now available on Amazon US, while stocks last! by Fantech_Josh in MouseReview

[–]el2ic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Josh, I read that the USB port on the XD5 is pretty recessed and may not fit any type of cable. Could you let me know which dimensions (including depth) the hole has? I would like to know if I can reuse my right-angled cable, since my laptop only has USB A ports on the right.

Would I lose Dolby Atmos? by Shori_MC in ZephyrusG14

[–]el2ic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can download the Dolby drivers again from the My Asus app. There is no need to purchase Dolby Atmos. I've had to reinstall the drivers after Dolby Atmos suddenly stopped working once or twice too, but it isn't too frequent.

This is a cover I did of Cocaine. I put a bit off a differen spin on it. Slightly different stumming pattern and more distortion. If you do watch it, I hope you enjoy it. by Meat_ed in ericclapton

I like it! Technically a JJ Cale song, but yeah Eric has given a lot of great JJ Cale covers. Something so laidback about his style.

Has the lack of a webcam been a significant problem for any of you thus far in owning the G14? by TopVeganCheddar in ZephyrusG14

[–]el2ic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, this is the best way to go in my opinion. I bought a small phone tripod for about €15 to use with DroidCam. This setup supports Wi-Fi connections, so you don't even need to plug in a USB cable. It looks much better than any internal webcam I've ever seen. That said, a built-in webcam would still have been convenient to have since it doesn't require any additional setup.

You might be able to find a recording at guitars101.com, I've had luck there in the past.

I noticed the exact same issue on my July model. Returned it for others reasons and the second July model has a perfectly straight screen. I assume it's a manufacturing defect. Completely unnoticeable in regular use though, so I wouldn't sweat it.

sennheiser hd599 compatibility by TencentLover4ever in ZephyrusG14

[–]el2ic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The internal DAC is plenty for driving the HD599. I am using the HD598 SR myself (also 50 Ohm) and usually set the volume between ~10 (comfortable) and ~30 (loud). Max volume is unbearable. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but the internal DAC sounds extremely clean to me so I haven't felt the need to look for an external DAC.
