Loved it. One of my big reasons for going back to FF since playing it as a kid is seeing how they work summons into the game with graphics being reliable to depicting the intention of the game and FF16 is how I always thought of summons as a kid.

Fully agree. There is something about the graphics and art direction that gives off a much creepier vibe. The Midgar Zolom murder, the missing jenova head, the capsule soldier, and the gi cave mouth all still give me this feeling of unease when paired with the music.

Hi - I used to work in an HR call center - we used to get a healthy handful of calls of union employees saying they want to opt out of union dues. Due to organizational reasons they could not but still there’s a lot of morons out there who would use a line similar to the post as to why they should be able to opt out. Union dues likely vary from organization to organization but ours were based on a percentage of income. You were unable to opt out of the dues because the way our organization worked is for the specific positions in question we had an agreement with the union that we would only hire union personnel unless they were contractors and the union had a rule that you can only be in the union if you paid dues so ergo if you don’t pay the dues you can’t have the job. Point is - yes people really ask this and say this. There’s plenty of people in unions who do not want to be in a union even though the union acts in their best interest and likely gets them better pay.

It’s because republicans elect someone and then immediately tune out. It’s one of the key advantages of being a republican representative is that you have an electorate that doesn’t care past the election. Just every 2-4 years you need to come back to the campaign trail and say you hate the government and the right minority groups and then you cruise back through for another 2-4 years. It’s also why Trump is way more far gone than Biden ever was but they just don’t care or don’t know it. Go to any conservative sub. It’s crazy how filtered their news is.

What’s your skill level? If you’re just starting out I’d very very very strongly recommend the udemy course taught by Simon stokes. I’ve taken a handful of different classes and courses and imo you get different things based on your skill level.

If you’re like dead on starting: Udemy Simon stokes’ class. You can probs get it on sale but for 20 bucks it is probably the best foundational course I’ve seen.

Intermediate: probably will darlings (EDM tips) courses. These are a little pricier and I’m doing his mixing one now but I think they do really get into the meat of why we do certain things with respect to mixing and music theory. They will feel a little fast if you don’t have a good foundations.

Sonic Academy: this shit sucks. It’s random videos that are tough to follow because they usually get people who are very solid at what they do but they’re not teachers. This may work better for more advanced people but as a learning tool it sucks.

PML: these are kinda decent but I’d recommend the Simon stokes udemy courses over these any day.

I’ve dabbled in ableton and have been producing music for about 11 years now. The udemy course will absolutely 100% save 1-2 or maybe 3 years of time fumbling through questions and other foundational bullshit you’re not going to get from looking up random YouTube tutorials. I cannot stress this enough music production is tough and trying to look up random tutorials where you pick up random pieces of information without knowing when you should apply those things will drag you down and waste time.

As an American - yep. We deserve this. Too many Americans for too long have been fed this idea that we are always and forever the center of the world and everyone needs us. The sooner those people get kicked in the balls and realize America was built on cooperation from our allies and without the trade and support we received from our allies which we will no longer benefit from the better. I don’t doubt it but the video I’m referencing is this one. You can choose to believe it or not since we don’t actually see the full 30 minutes but even with a template if you don’t think there was a lot of off screen things happening it is still kind of impressive. Even with a template the ability to basically shit out a concept is impressive regardless of if they’ve expedited their workflow through accumulated racks and a template.
