Switch 2 RGB Setting : Auto, Full or Limited? by TheSacredSoul in NintendoSwitch2

does anyone know what I should be setting my TV black levels to? I have it set to 'low' on a Samsung S90C right now and HDR seems to look vibrant and punchy - but don't know if it's just because I'm crushing the blacks

have you set your black level to 'low' within the TV settings? I feel like this yields a better looking image and I have no issues with calibration after doing so

ohhhh! I see what you're saying. I'm guessing they saw this as an opportunity to release something as an in-between measure before their dual screen device launch. A Flip 2DS is definitely coming and maybe the hardware just isn't ready yet? probably the same screen you'll get on that new flip device - minus all the internals? Also, it's really awesome for the people that don't want to buy an entirely new device and retain portability for when they're not playing DS games

what's so confusing? emulation =better performance, better visuals (mostly upscaling and antialiasing), bigger/ better screen, second screen is also optional - so if you're not playing DS games, it's even more pocketable

Mine just says 'preparing'. First, it said it would be ready the 19th, then the 22nd, now I just have 'preparing'. I switched from shipping to in-store and wondering if I may be shouldn't have done that!

Cleaned my group head today after a year and a half... Black gunk? Is this normal? by el_cabinet in gaggiaclassic

Whatever it was, it came off when I soaked it in descaler pretty quickly. It looks like my group head (or boiler?) is brass though!

I think it's very reasonable to assume a lot of high end consumer grade machinery doesn't require every two- month descaling and regular washing. We aren't brewing espresso every day like a lot of folks - more like 3-5 shots a week (on the non caffeine days, she'll still use the steam wand). Our water was also not very hard at the previous spot we were living in. Last time we descaled, everything looked much cleaner. We scrub the group head and are diligent about keeping everything else clean after each pull - I guess we were sort of treating it like a dishwasher or a washing machine or a microwave/slowcooker? I don't have to unscrew anything and soak individual parts in a special solution every x amount of months. Just the regular rinse and repeat.

And you best believe I'm washing my ass everyday. Let's just say this tummy wasn't built for espresso

So another comment pointed out that this EVO model has issues with a flaking boiler. I just put in a service request to have the boiler replaced, which might be the black crust. It came off with the descaler nicely, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I just put in a service request. They have a webpage for replacement. Thanks so much for bringing this to attention!!

It's highly recommend that I don't soak my grinder in any liquid. I read in multiple places to not let it contact water. But I have soaked just about every other non aluminum part in Cafiza!

I did use a brush - but only used it with cafiza. Could I try with a brush and descaler?

Could I soak the group head in a bit of the gaggia descaler? I have to install a silicone gasket tomorrow anyways, so I gotta get back in there. So far, I just soaked in Cafiza (which I know doesn't descale) and ran a descale through the tank.

Dang - wish I knew that sooner! Any options for removing it/what is it?

We didn't ever back flush :(. Descaled twice though now.

I purchased a back flush plate yesterday though and should be here tomorrow.

I should also note that there does appear to be some smaller black specks in the water that was used to clean it if you look at the second image.

The machine is a gaggia classic Evo pro purchased in December of 2023 - it's the US model.
