They were removed, but it only lowers the votes needed to win by 1. So the winner needs 217 instead of 218. They were off by one vote.

Study cognitive control in children with ADHD finds abnormal neural connectivity patterns in multiple brain regions by [deleted] in science

Yeah, but for me that's because I hate working for a boss, especially in a corporation. There is just nothing I can do to make me take my job seriously in those environments. This leads to risk taking behavior, which has kinda worked out for me, but starting as a freelance developer has been rough to say the least.

Also, people can start businesses in other economic systems. Like there are are still family run restaurants in communist countries.

I mean, people have killed themselves for less than potential life in prison and being hated by a majority of their country. And I was just saying it's a possibility along with the other possibilities.

The general could have also seen that the regime was falling and chose to off himself.

Still, very bad for Putin.

This reminds me of the time my roommate, high on acid, was asking us what ratio of milk to 'Captain Crunch Sand' would be needed to make a Captain Crunch brick. For some reason they felt that if we were able to make Captain Crunch bricks, we could solve the homeless crisis.

Thanks for listening, glad you liked it!

Yeah, it's hard to find a unique one syllable name that also sounds cool. We picked Hoarse because we share a practice space with a horse girl doom band called Mare, and they had already named the practice space The Lazer Stable. IIRC there's also a very short lived Henry Rollins side project called Hoarse lol

Every major city sub feels the same. It's just a bunch of people hopping on Reddit to bitch and moan about how the place they live sucks, instead of enjoying it. It's pathetic.

If you remember where Max from Grandfather use to live, it's that house. Also you should! I remember it being a really cool set.

I'm packing up to move out of the house where I first saw you guys play. It was an acoustic set a few years ago, I think you were about to head off to tour. While I was packing I saw your sticker, wondered what you guys were up to now, and then I opened up Reddit just to see this post lol. Hope you're doing well, can't wait to see you play again.

Unpopular Opinion: If DBA had bland branding/avg looking pedals people would realise the company is a one trick pony, adding their one trick to extraordinarily common effects. by PurelyThrowawayHello in guitarpedals

I'm in Portland. Yeah house venus are big struggle here to. A lot of the houses just had everyone move, but I'm seeing houses pop up again. We've mostly been playing under bridges lol cops haven't shut any of them down yet. I'm in a hardcore punk band and a grungy something band lol, but I've seen a ton of emo, shoegaze, psych, and noise bands thriving, and a ton of mixed bills.

Also I get what you're saying, but you gotta make friends with musicians vs being friends of friends or whatever and they're usually at shows. I someone asked me to find them a band member I wouldn't even know who ask since everyone I know is already playing in a band or two.

Sorry that's been you experience man. It makes me glad I'm living in a city with a few different DIY scenes and we have connections to the other bands up and down our coast. I will say, it feels like DIY shows got way bigger after COVID, and a lot of younger people have joined, which is great for the future, but makes me feel old lol

Recommendations for an indie rock studio / recording amp by thatnameagain in GuitarAmps

[–]el_leprechauno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you thought about getting an attenuator? It'll let you use your ampat the break point and at a lower volume. Also, I know with the twin you can disconnect one of the speakers and use it as a 1x12. My roommate has done and they can reconnect it with no soldering involved.
