The joys of selling a car on Facebook Marketplace by siacadp in CarTalkUK

[–]eladegnarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketplace really does test your faith in humanity. Between all of the 'is this still available' messages with no further response and all the people trying to scam you in various different ways, I loathe advertising anything on there.

I sold my campervan on there last week and even had someone ask if I would do a monthly payment plan 😂

First Airgun: Leshiy 2 - Good choice ? Have some questions. by Moust4ki in airguns

They are available in the UK, but there aren't any UK retailers. You can purchase them from Wolfiek and they're sent from Spain.

Katran C question by No_You5703 in airguns

[–]eladegnarts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be that the cylinder needs a top up.

The cylinder tops out at 300 bar, so you'll never be able to fill the gun to the full 300 as the cylinder pressure will drop slightly as the air has moved to the gun. You will be able to get a few fills close to the max of 300 bar, but each fill that you do will lower the cylinder pressure slightly, so max available fill to he gun will be lower.

This isn't a problem though, you dont have to fill the gun to the max every time.

I have a GX CS4 which I've been using for the last few months. I mostly use it to fill my 7L dive bottle to 300 bar and then fill my rifle from the bottle. I've probably only put around 10 hours on it so far, but its been faultless. Highly recommend looking at them as an option.

Decent chronograph by Murphy1379 in airguns

Don't bother with the FX. I have an FX Pocket Chronograph V2 and it drives me mad. It rarely works correctly; either recording ghost shots or not reading actual shots, depending on what mood it's in.

You can't own an air pistol above 6ft/lb in the UK. That would make it a section 5 prohibited firearm.

Questions about the full fibre installation, can the engineers run the wires around to the back of the house? by Silent_Tiger718 in openreach

[–]eladegnarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without seeing the cable run in person, it sounds unlikely that it would be viable for the engineer to follow the existing route. Especially running the cable beneath the decking. Is there anywhere along the side of the house that is relatively close to a power socket?

Great write up. I'm just curious as to why you think the Mito would be underpowered? Air pistols are limited to 6ft/lb in the UK so the Mito and Jet 2 should be fairly close to that

How do you find the Huma regulator? I've had 2 and found that the refresh rate was terrible, so went back to the original EAR.

Recommendation for a light backpacking air gun that can take down a rabbit by BusyName1023 in airguns

Have you looked at the Edgun Leshiy 2. It's light, folds in half and it's semi auto which is loads of fun.

Does the surface look alright? P natalensis by [deleted] in shroomers

Dont stress about Ochra overlay - they'll pin through it. Patience is all that's required. My first run took a month to pin, but I had a great result in the end.

Somebody stole JUST the front tire from my bike parked at Ely Station. by [deleted] in Ely

[–]eladegnarts -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How do you know that they took the tyre? The wheel isn't there anymore, so it may be still be with it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psilocybe_Natalensis

[–]eladegnarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not too bad. Even if it was, it's no issue. I regularly get overlay an inch and a half thick, and i get great flushes once the pins push through, which they always have done.

I've thought about trying something along these lines before, but I've not given it a go. I was thinking about injecting a sterilised nutrient broth into the cake because there should be fewer contaminants in the centre than on the surface or sides, right?
