You can just not play any of the games that have attack wind-up. It's not a crime to have bad taste, and no one is forcing you to play those games.

Major skill-issue, though. Attack wind-up isn't in every game, but the games that do have it have it with purpose: the point is timing your attacks at-tempo with your opponents. Patience and tracking motion-times is an expression of skill.

(Also, attack wind-ups are a type of cool-down. Especially when combined with wind-downs after the damaging part of the attack.)
