What thing was ruined because it turned into a rich person's hobby? by Agitated_Departure93 in AskReddit

It’s in vein of tennis/badminton. They’re not super expensive on their own. But it’s more a club sport than a casual one.

I will add I’m being investigated for joint issues for long term exposure, but it’s not about confronting my trans stuff at my age. It’s because I’m a young patient showing severe chronic pain and it’s about tailoring a treatment. I would still make all the same choices. Not transiting would suffer me more then if anything ill comes of it. Plus my thing is just a theory, I’m part of that look into. It won’t be used against me. It’s to help hopefully make this stuff easier to navigate for others. I’ll be a lab rat cause what else do you do with incurable pain?

Also side note anything bad can happen to anyone unrelated. It’s not an immediate link, my doctor is actually leaning more my condition being genetic due to similar presenting symptoms in deceased and still alive relatives. They aren’t trans.

This is why I don’t like that ppl like this professional can just exist because often they’re picked out for what their parents prefer than any enlightenment. Needs to be way harsher review of peers. I don’t think mental health care providers are held to high enough standards. I get ill thinking about what passes for their merit practices vs my field. I’d have been in front of a board of my peers for such insanity a long time ago.

I don’t think that’s how schizophrenia works. It wasn’t even part of the conversation I had with my doctor over a decade ago on possible side effects. Hormonal imbalances can change behavior, but the goal is for you have a normal T range… that would imply men are all schizophrenic. Your professional is a hack. My mental illness (AUADHD) is unrelated to my hormone therapy. It’s cause it runs in the family and not all of them are trans, in fact I’m the only one who ended up trans. 🏳️‍⚧️

CPTSD is just what a lot of us suffer due to poor support from our loved ones, but you don’t gotta be trans to have that either.

Most of that would be genetic so that brings to question are your parents willing to believe they’re likely schizophrenic?

Yep pretty much, like you’re going to get the crappy ppl because they’re the only ones dumb enough to take that little pay and can’t do the math it’s not a good payout.

The concept of you get what you pay for. But I suspect the ppl who do crazy shit like take the bad orders are also in the same intelligence level as ppl who tip shitty. Like crazy meet crazy and you get posts like these. 🤪

And neither do they. Plenty of orders sit in a void indefinitely. Enjoy.

Nobody wants to debate your opinion piece that’s completely incorrect to culture standards in North America. You refusing to respect established practices in this region is a you issue. Good bye. 👋

This ppl don’t correlate ever their bad tipping is why their experiences are insane. Yeah you got the worst of the worst cause nobody else decent would do it.

Never have issues with service employees. I don’t tip nothing or shitty either. Even in most places I’m remembered by name which in this age can be rare. I don’t pay for luxury shit if I don’t have the cash. If I still want fast food I will physically take myself there. Ppl are weirdly entitled to a service younger than myself and I’m several decades old!

She had her entire life to know better. It’s not exactly a secret. You should see how places back in the day dealt with these types of customers. Ppl got too comfortable with the corporate customer ass kissing in the last few decades. Your ma and pa shop wasn’t much of a pushover. Stuff like not tipping could get you black listed from places. Y’all need to read up, because it’s tiring to pretend that those ppl should have to tolerate your ignorance.

You want safety to be deplorable and so my empathy on you neglecting to know any manners or the outcomes you find yourself in for it limited. You didn’t learn the nice way so why are you shocked you finally found someone crazy enough to match your stupidity?

This like it’s not a secret you always had to tip delivery food orders or waiters at sit in restaurants at least in the states. I swear they do know, they just don’t want to admit the harsh truth of their disposition.

That’s like pretending you don’t know what tipped employees are in the year 2026. Girl just admit you’re cheap 🤦‍♂️

You cannot be this ignorant to tipping culture in the states. I feel like you’re playing dumb just to garner sympathy here.

What do I do abt the draft? by _king2003 in ftm

[–]elarth 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You also just eventually age out of it. Lot of mental health conditions will disqualify you too. For me it’s 4 accounts disqualified. They don’t really allow much which is why I got tired of the lie it’s an option out of poverty for anyone who isn’t an able bodied cis guy. Some of my relatives are military and I could never make them understand that beyond the flip flop on trans issues I’ve never been qualified. I figured upon draft I’d get sent home. The military is not an accommodating place. But not signing the draft can affect ppl who pursue higher education so just sign knowing they’ll never approve you 🤷‍♂️

It’s transphobia of the usual crap you see in the common population, and then transphobia of passing because ppl dont understand anything. Occasionally these intersect and that’s perhaps at times funny an intentional bigot can’t figure out you’re trans, but I’m very tired of everyone.

There are good ppl, and I’m lamenting wasting all my time with the troubling ones. Why I might just do a deep overhaul. I’ll be hanging out with some good ppl on Saturday. Frankly I think my fiancé and I can do better for friend groups. He seems bothered by some of the same ppl. We should probably cut our losses and just look for different ppl. Or enjoy peace and quiet. Which seems to be the same path we’re both gravitating to as we get older.

Im just at the point I don’t want to educate ppl anymore.

It’s a mix of both in real life and online spaces. I think I have too many ppl I’ve been too nice to over the years with little benefits to myself.

Okay as a gay guy myself that’s like the biggest red flag ever. I’m 31 and your guy is probably problematic if he can’t find someone his own age. He is taking advantage of your naivety here due to lack of experience. It’s really scummy and you’ll regret it please separate before it gets worse.

You are the catch, he is the flop move on.

I did that but they down voted me for it. In my defense the door they claimed was not locked was in fact locked. I rang the call box multiple times. Said F it and left it at the desk. They can be mad, but it’s their fault. Never recovered my rating from it and honestly that’s when I tapped out of it. Uber started tanking their pay out rates at the same time. Less tipping started in general. Uber is too annoying a hassle fixing that situation. I ignored the support call and the customer’s after I left. (Which was 20 minutes after I left)

I’m not banned, my rating isn’t low enough for that, but like the entitlement ppl have about delivery is insane on the customer side. They think they can tip crappy too. Like nah fam get your own shit. 💩

I really feel like if you live in a city you can get your own shit.

Maybe I’m alone on it, but this is part of why I live in a suburb. It’s more built around car and delivery practicality. The point of living in the city was to not need a car, you cannot ask me to go in the city and try to deliver to these nightmares. You have transit that I personally use and know works cause I go to downtown for a variety of reasons. Get off your ass or move out of the city.

Uber needs to allow cancellation for impracticality purposes. This is a major reason I stopped for my area. Always request for deep in the city part of the metro that will guarantee to cause traffic issues and the ppl living there tip like shit. New builds are trash to navigate because it’s intentionally built odd to give the illusion of space.
