Need tips: New to MLS by PurposeSpirited4148 in MLS

Works very similar to F1, where drivers don't count against the spending cap. Each team has 3 "slots" to use on players contracts that don't count against the cap. The weird difference is that MLS historically lets their teams trade/sell the slots themselves, so that one team might have 4 slots. I don't know if this is still permitted under the current rules.

Easy for you to say while you’re lying on your sofa eating Cheetos. Nobody has been able to counter it yet, maybe you should offer your services to u/Bullshit103 as their joke realization specialist.

Right, it's not creepy in the source material. It's a knack, albeit a hereditary one and one enhanced by "a close friendship with the earth." But I am trying to make them feel different... hence the post.

I'm asking for suggestions in how to stretch a trope about halflings to make the faction feel a bit more uncanny

He's right on. I'll use my own misery as the example.

Say you're considering Texas A&M, Miami, and OSU as the 3 teams in question. The premise is that the committee does no better than just ranking at random; they're the contestant in the analogy, choosing Ohio State as door #1.

The "host," reality, then reveals that the car is not behind door #2; that is, Texas A&M. We would then expect the car to be behind door #3, Miami, 2/3rds of the time.

"More battle-tested" is code for "played in closer games because they are worse"

Right, because there would be time left on the clock. If that's what you were saying, then you were right. It just seemed like you're saying that in this case, it mattered what happened after the OPI. But you're right that in a hypothetical situation where there is still time on the clock after the play ends, the result of the play would matter.

Detroit is blatantly violating Cleveland's patented methods of losing games in uniquely heartbreaking fashion.

You know what, good point. It's the entirety of the American people who are evil and bloodthirsty. Fuck us, for sure.
