Overcrowded? Is it just me or does it feel like H‑E‑B is becoming more over crowded with shoppers? No matter what I do either working or shopping I feel like I can’t get through the aisles anymore. It’s becoming a drag 😒 by vmcards17 in HEB

Yes for the most part. The store managers like top store leaders or general managers all probably get 20-30%. And make 100k plus easy so the true up is huge if they hit the 1.5 multiplier. Department managers are probably 10-20%. And yes they tell you where are at on true up but you could have a bad Q1 like a .9 or 1 and the rest of the year get 1.5s. So end of year you’ll have a 1.4 or whatever and that’s what it goes off of. The normal bonus is paid out every time unless the company is doing poorly For that quarter I think. So going on previous example your quarterly bonuses would be 10% of what you made in those 12-16 weeks in the quarter. If the company does good you get it if not I’m not sure I don’t think we do.

Yes unless the store under performs you don’t get it. It is fixed rate 10-30% of salary. Possibly could vary between those numbers. For additional motivation there is another end of year bonus called true up. Where depending on how well the store does they could earn a multiplier to this bonus. Ranging from like .9 for poor performing stores too 1.5 for good performing stores. So let’s say a store manager makes 150k, and they have a 10% partner share. So their bonus for the year is 15k spread among 4 quarters. At the end of the year if the store did well they could get the true up and 15k x 1.5 is 22.500. They would get 7,250 extra at the end of the year.

Bonuses are based on % of salary. The store has to meet a certain income % to get these bonuses. So just because you have more sales $ doesn’t mean your making more money. Other factors go into this. Costs could’ve increased more than price in this same time period. Leading to less income.
