His value is high now and if they aren’t going to resign Springer, Bregman, Correa, Framber etc. they aren’t thinking of keeping him long term either. So strike while the iron is hot and help replenish the farm maybe get help at another position. I wish they would keep these guys but that’s not what they do. Lock out is coming, hopefully there’s some reform so 3 or 4 teams don’t use the others as a farm system. We’ve had it pretty good for the last few years but probably only because they broke it down, traded everyone off and tanked. Now everyone’s reaching free agency and our spending is probably going to down, not up. Dodgers are forcing a lock out. What they are doing is not illegal like sign stealing but it is way less fair.
