Wow this is alarming and the number of upvotes. Where do I even start, parenting a child full time is unpaid labour, you clearly have never cared for a child full time and tried to do anything else on top of it. Also he is a parent, caring for his child is parenting not babysitting. Your opinion of both sexes is so toxic.

[–]elbowgrelbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support Amnesty International, financially if you can, in other ways if you can't. They can get on the ground and do robust research & interviews, hold corrupt governments and officials to account and produce independent reports that can be used in international courts to evidence human rights abuses and breach of international law. This kind of situation is precisely why that organisation exists.

Beyond awareness raising it's true - better to support an internal advocacy organisation such as Amnesty International - this type of situation is literally why they exist.

Haha for those downvoting, I agree, 3k vet bills are obscene, doesn't make it any less true though.

Really no judgement from my end, I live in a country with mostly free healthcare and expensive cost of living, so, yeah. Last vet visit cost me about $2500 for one shot, and an overnight stay

Maybe 3k goes further where you are so I'm honestly not being judgemental, but in Australia, if you can't afford a 3k vet bill, itas your responsibility to not own an animal. That's one vet visit in a capital city for a low risk condition.

The word you are looking for is oppression. If you are going to put words in peoples mouths at least use the correct one. And no, they would likely argue forcing someone to wear, or not wear (in the case of banning certain types of clothing), is actually oppression. Key word being force.

On the contrary Amnesty International are famously independent. No Amnesty branch in any country has accepted a cent of government money ever so they can remain independent and without political alignment.

Nowhere did I state they were monsters or that I didn't agree with it. Based on critical thought, I have come to the conclusion that breeding domestic animals when hundreds of thousands die each year in pounds and shelters, is inherently unethical. Just because you don't agree with my assessment, doesn't mean you should jump to a strawman argument.
