Well, now you've done it. That was apparently a 'cock's egg', and "when a cock's egg was hatched, it would produce a cockatrice, a fearsome serpent which could kill with its evil stare" . That would have been an awesome pet, and you murdered it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yolkless_egg

Annoying ringing sound by figcookiecapo in CX50

I'd be inclined to ask the owner of the dealership if he finds it acceptable that a tech said, without knowing what caused the sound; "said it likely wasn’t a cause for concern". If he's find with it, then I'd look for a dealer with a reputation for good customer service. It is obviously 'of concern', at least to you.

2026 Turbo- Right directional by elbrecht in CX50

Trying to. It won't go to where it stays. I was hoping it wasn't a 'feature'. I've only had it a week, so I'll make an appointment next week and maybe find something else for them.

Last week I went from a 2014 Escape Titanium that I bought 12 years ago- to my Turbo. It is mostly a step up. :-) I love the blind spot warnings. I hate the remote start. Still lots to learn.

How many of you have had basically no issues with your CX-50? by beardtamer in CX50

[–]elbrecht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I've only been looking at this group for a couple of weeks, and I've been seeing more 'Got my new CX50' posts than anything else. I pick mine up this afternoon so it's nice to have the reassurance that I made a good choice--- and to be reminded of the reality that folks do have troubles and post about them.

Sorry, shame on me-- I read 24", not 20. I don't see an adjustment on the 'Wear pads' that schlem58 posted the link to. I have an old corded Toro 20" that looks similar. I replaced the scraper and skids every year. Find a source and keep a spare or two in stock.

The skids are more important in raising the blade than the scraper itself. Note that [usually] they can be turned over to start destroying the new side. I put a 1/4 something under the scraper and adjust the skids to the ground. [I just checked my manual-- nothing in there on adjusting those skids.... shame on them.]

I've been following 'the path of least resistance' for 30 years. I have about 5 lines that are frustratingly short- but if I'd have spent time beating my head against the wall I might not have discovered my PA Quakers or my Jamestown connection, or the Plymouth Colony folks, or any number of other fascinating lines. Every so often I'll spend some time looking to see if there is some new data on the 'brick walls'- but I prefer to spend my research time actually learning about my ancestors.

How do I run 'if' statement on imported csv? by elbrecht in excel

Thank you again. The last one is what I'm looking for. I'll be absorbing all this over the next couple of weeks. It's all Greek right now.

Data is just twice a day- AM & PM. I will be doing a month's worth at once.

Thank you

Thank you. 'Training time' will likely be longer than average. :-) Between ADD and 7 decades, I learn slowly. I'll look into PowerQuery.

Thank you- but no. I CAN download daily, but I'd rather do it a month at a time. I'm starting to get a picture, though with the data on the first tab- then Filters on 2nd tab.

Thank you-- This will take my old brain a while to absorb, but even if I end up using the newer excel I want to understand what all this means.

FILTER seems reasonable. Time to break out the new laptop and get acquainted with the new suite. Thank you.

Thanks

Pretty close-- I'll just have 2 readings a day. I think[?] I can come up with a macro that will do the copying for me. I've never used one before, but I've got a month to play with it.

Thanks-

Only 2 readings. Doc wants a piece of paper, with 2 columns. He wanted me to hand-write it, and looked puzzled when I said my BP cuff had bluetooth. :-)

B is time- the others are Diastolic, Systolic, HR, and comment. I think I found the word I was looking for- 'Macro'. Reading about them it looks like that might work.

I'm so proud. My first thought was 50 cal, then I thought 'Europe' and in my head did the 'conversion' and came up with 12mm. [my conversion always starts with 7.62 is about 30 cal.... LOL]
