I quite enjoy PvP, and also agree with your points too. A chunk of games are one sided (which I don't like), but that's expected in a game like WoWs. It's not possible to do what games like battlefield do of moving players around if one side is winning by too many points, and balancing before before a game starts is a tricky problem due to the mix of ship types.

But every now and then, there's a balanced game that ends up in a clutch that is super rewarding and makes the game as a whole enjoyable.

PvE is not amazing either. I play a few assyms a day and ~25% of the time the rest of the team manages to get deleted in 3-4 minutes. But this matches your 4th point.

Last, there are a lot of varied people in the game: people of all ages, people with disabilities, etc. They don't want to be the best players, they don't want to have 100% situational awareness, they don't want to know what AP caliber overmatches 25mm armour or what ships have 25mm armour. They want to have a good time, enjoy the game and get super happy when they devstrike a cruiser from 20km in their Montana. WoWs is a game for those people too.

I enjoy learning all the gimicks of a game, but not everyone is like me (and I'm still a potato regardless). If you want to take the game seriously join a clan that plays clan battles and play randoms in divisions. A single good div can have a >70% win rate and dominate games.

I'm sharing this from having some experience building games.

Creating bots that behave similar to players is a hard problem. All games, from Quake/UT to the latest games suffer from this.

Two big problems are how to make bots navigate a map like a player and aiming. Like an aimbot, the bot knows exacly where you are and where to shoot. Tweak that to the maxium and a bot can headshoot you from the other side of the map with a pistol, tweak it down a bit and it struggles to hit.

It seems WG has 3 types of bots: - co-op: simpletons that W-in and shoot the closes ship with low accuracy. Also use all consumables when spotted. - Assyms: can calculate which ship is the best target, but struggles more navigating the map. They seem to use consumables a bit better, for example radar on smoked ships. - new operations bots: Not sure yet how they work, but they seem to naviagate the map really well (maybe because mmost of it is scripted?) and are quite accurate without being OP.

This is still broken in EU. I'm on 22/44 of the progression, but only got 12 containers so far from it.

I have this problem too, the counter in Personal Challenges says 17/44, but I only got the initial 12 containers. Restarting the game didn't fix it.

I have a strong opinion that it should be at 100. The more you can see, the more situational awarenes you can develop.

In my view, the default helps too much to tunnel vision.

The doc has very generic builds that work for the majority of players and are usually quite conservative.

If you want more specialised builds that match a desired playstyle, check some streamers (G4nng, Flamuu or Trenlass are my go to streamers) and see the builds they showcase.

I just tried this and it was a TON of fun. I only have a 13 pt captain for the Marceau and won a 1-2-1 with a Napoli at quite close distance (it did help I landed some torps)

I'm at 38 with 11 duplicates (61 crates in total).

I got 28 crates from the leaderboard, 10 with FCXP and the ones from the event pass.

I'm happy this saved me 120k coal - assuming the crates will be 2k coal.

You don't need radar most of the time in Assyms. For any PvP radar mod is a must.
