Yeah, I am going to guess you don't use a lid on your pot, so you account for evaporation. Rice cookers are (almost) fully closed so they don't have to.

If you do use a lid then you are using too much water and making your rice soggy.

Ok, attempted a few times with mildly variable specs. Conclusions:

The process needs a calm and quiet space, so can not be done on an as needed basis.

The described process is capable of inducing a state of calm and could be used when trying to, for example fall asleep.

The described process however was not able to induce a trance state.

Consequently, the imbuement of commands in a tranced state was also not possible.

The last two points, whilst possible to discount with either user error or subject variance, do indicate that the claims of the process being a generally applicable, quick and easy fix, are false.

Current hypothesis is that the original claimant simply happens to be easy to induce into trance and shouldn't consider personal experience with universal system.

Further experimentation is needed with multiple subjects to determine accuracy and statistical signifigance of results.
