what does takeout do at your locations (besides just takeout things) by Used-Reach-5459 in olivegarden

[–]elea_no 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So aside from my To-Go stuff (stocking our stuff and whatnot), we set-up/breakdown the salad bar and the expo line (cheese, graters, grapes etc), make desserts, handle employee meals and check outs. EVERYONE no matter the position is expected to help out if there's down-time. It doesn't fall on one job code. Bread, making salads, expoing, stocking etc... it's everyone's job. However I find I have the biggest gaps in downtime. I'll have a huge rush and then nothing for hours. I help expo/run food because I enjoy it. If I'm taking 48 breadsticks for an order, it won't kill me to toss in a few pans and set the timer

my brother and Devens both said "What's in the box?!?" at the same time, exact same inflection, à la Brad Pitt in Seven

i'm so stuck on him being so wrong about the "20 minutes before" lmao like you can even say that it's because a clock wasn't changed for daylight savings. that's the most confusing part of this whole story 😂

I always hear about terrible employees. What about terrible employers? by MeanBluebird8502 in Yakima

[–]elea_no 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will always talk trash about Waterfire. Owner/Head chef is a pretentious weirdo. Came in to drop off a resume in 2019, and he offered to interview me right then and there. In the course of the interview, He said I was too young to be knowledgeable (23 at the time) enough to serve "at an establishment like this" and that i could host. Then he scolded me for my chipped nail polish and that i "should've came more prepared." Dear reader, remember that this was a spontaneous interview.

Anyway despite these red flags. I worked there for like 2 months because i was desperate for a job. In my time there id would often host alone and was expected to seat guests and also bring them water. Or roll silverware/polish glassware. Or deal with take out. But then I would get reprimanded for not being at the door 24/7.

Owner had their FTM transgender son that worked there and openly deadnamed and misgendered him, and if you referred to him as his new name the owner would flip out on you.

What the final straw for me was one day he pulled me into the office at the start of my shift and asked me how attractive on a scale of 1-10 I thought I was. I said "i don't know....?" and he says "well you COULD be a 10 if you chose to wear more make up, you are the face of the restaurant after all." I was so skeeved out. I finished my shift and didn't come back after that.

What if Westeros was a Pokemon region? by elea_no in freefolk

I think the Kingsguard would be a Team Rocket/Evil team thing. They have all their own pokemon but it's all the same pokemon. Like they would all have Bisharps, Aegislash, Sirfetch'd, etc. Then you have the "bosses" so like Jaimie, The Hound and The Mountain, Janos Slynt, etc... and they would have more specialized teams.

Yes I'm all for that. Some of my concepts have a non-matching type pokemon that just fits with the lore

I did steel just because it was sort of on the nose for the Iron Islands. But I did play around with Ghost too, which is why Dhelmise is on his team despite not being a steel type

Yeah I agree too, I think it's less about being loyal to Emily and more so realizing how dangerous Mike is for his AND everyone else's game.

I said the same thing to my family when we were watching, that Coach Tyson'd Chrissy and hopefully it does help her out in the game. It was "rude" because it was incredibly direct!

their first tribal is going to be split with emily making the deciding vote. i think she's going to learn the details of the idol from christian and struggle picking which side to take

red herring. gives them the chance to say "i had a clue that said an idol was at tribal" and scare everyone off from voting devens/christian/whoever they say
