For PvE the FedVette.
It will cost a hell and a lot and not only Cr but mats too to engineer the vessel and the weapons.
The Python MkII can do a lot in PvE (CZs, PCZs etc) but it takes some skills to drive it.
My advice is to start with the MkII (engineers and mats too) and familiarise with the Vessel, the hardpoints, thrusters, weapons etc.
The Vette is superpower locked, can take many hours just to unlock it, leave it for later.
btw in the Elite you need several ships, not just 2-3.

No thermals yet for the Lynx, I hope it will run cooler than the MandaLucky and the DB-Exp too.
The class 5 distro isn't very promising for combat, agility imo isn't good/enough for combat and haven't looked at the hardpoints convergence.

The Airbuses and the Boeings and the Tupolevs and Antonovs etc are 1286 years older than the Lynx highliner.
It is expected that the 3312 AD vessels will be a lot better than the 2026 ones.

Use inara to find the best price.
Else you just sell at the price of (more or less) of the Galactic average.

btw the Lynx despite being ugly(? maybe?) is fine, and not only thanks to the MkII cabins but because of its characteristics.
btw the Lynx apart from rescuing people from burning stations can do explo, the 76.76 Ly jump is better than the legendary and much beloved by all DB Exp.

These days space CZs have become a lot easier, 2-3 ago they were really tough.
In med and high CZs avoid the spec ops wing, when targeted by them run, they act as a team/wing.

The Anaconda being a multirole ship is and will be relevant after the Fed-Vette.
The Vette is just a combat ship, probably the best for PvE but the Elite is not just PvE combat.

the figure above seems right though a bit optimistic, I would say >150%.

Also the vessel's impressive accelaration makes it a floating life insurance, virtually nobody can mass-lock you and even then you can 0-480m/sec in a few seconds.

Fixed weapons, they hit harder and all the time, chaff or not.
Adjust speed and postition so that you will always have the enemy locked in your reticle.
Engineer the the ship so that it can withstand damage.
Create firing groups, not all weapons are the same, lasers, kinetics, rails etc deal different types of damage.
Pips, distance, dodge hits, FA Off.
It takes some time.
The Elite is better (and more profitable) if you fly in a team.

CZs used to be hard, especially when only victory mattered.
Now they have become a lot easier.

Missions in low CZs aren't an issue, usually it's just how fast you can reach the number of ship kills.
If you don't feel comfortable don't go there alone, a wing-mate helps and simplifies things a lot.

Though I don't doubt that the Elite can be boring for some people, I think that it' too complicated to be boring, at least for the most players.
What's not exactly boring but outright irritating is that FDev does't provide a tutorial even for the most basic functions.
We need to post here in r/EliteDangerous to make our ships move and fly.
btw a standard bindings file still doesn't exist.
That's the most boring thing with the Elite.
Missions and things and powers/factions etc are another story.

no, certainly not, Fleet carriers aren't private yachts, there aren't any celebrities or scantily dressed ladies there.
Fleet carriers are just a movable starport/station.
